  • Patent number: 10626748
Abstract: A method for estimating and managing life of a gas turbine is provided. The method includes estimating a remaining useful life of a component of a gas turbine, obtaining parameters of the gas turbine, at least one of which comprises the estimate of the remaining useful life of a component of the gas turbine, assigning operating weightages to the gas turbine parameters based a plant objective, generating a set point for operating the gas turbine based on the weighted gas turbine parameters, and adjusting an operating characteristic of the gas turbine to meet the set point.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 8, 2014
Date of Patent: April 21, 2020
    Assignee: General Electric Company
Inventors: Ramu Sharat Chandra, Achalesh Kumar Pandey, David Stephen Muench, Niranjan Gokuldas Pai
  • Patent number: 9569397
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system includes a condition based replacement life (CBRL) approval system configured to receive a turbomachinery component data and to approve a turbomachinery component for CBRL based on the turbomachinery component data. The system further includes a CBRL validation system configured to repair the turbomachinery component into a repaired turbomachinery component, wherein the repaired turbomachinery component is configured to operate in a turbomachinery beyond a service time of the turbomachinery component.

  • Publication number: 20120191496
Abstract: A method of determining component repair activities includes providing a computer-based component workscope routing system. The method also includes making a first determination of eligibility of a component for one of a standardized repair workscope that includes a plurality of predetermined standardized repair workscope activities, and an enhanced repair workscope. The enhanced repair workscope includes at least one of a number of enhanced repair workscope activities that is less than a predetermined number of standardized repair workscope activities, and inspection and repair activities that are different in scope from the plurality of standardized repair workscope activities. The method further includes making a second determination of eligibility of the component for the standardized repair workscope or the enhanced repair workscope.
