  • Patent number: 10002507
Abstract: A security system architecture and method of operation that combines a local security network with control panel and sensors, a central monitoring station (CMS), and a separate operator computer server that provides a web portal for both the homeowner and CMS, that maintains a persistent connection between the control panel and CMS allowing failsafe dual-path signaling. This dual-path signaling technique is extended to provide an effective “smash and grab alarm”, and various approaches to dual-path signal management are disclosed including handshaking, persistent domain monitoring, relayed Operator 3-to-CMS signaling, etc. Improved processes for remotely accessing video are also disclosed along with an improved process for remote control panel configuration, and control panel interfacing with home automation appliances.

Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for use in aerosolized delivery of a powder, and comprises a first chamber containing gas at a first pressure higher than atmospheric pressure, and a second chamber containing gas at a second pressure higher than atmospheric pressure. The apparatus also comprises a powder, contained within the first or second chamber. The first chamber has a first external wall and a separating wall, the separating wall being shared with the second chamber. The first external wall or the separating wall is configured to rupture if the pressure difference across it becomes equal to or greater than a threshold pressure difference. • Publication number: 20170321377
Abstract: A device for producing a pattern combination on a clothing includes the following: a rotary screen, a cylindrical jacket surface with a perforation pattern that defines a first pattern component. Material in the liquid or pasty state is pressed through the perforations of the jacket surface of the rotary screen and deposited on the surface of the clothing in order to produce the first pattern component on a surface of the clothing, while the rotary screen, rotating several times about a longitudinal axis thereof, rolls on the surface of the clothing in at least one path that continuously revolves on the surface of the clothing at least once. At least one device produces, synchronously and/or simultaneously, a second pattern component, which device is connected indirectly or directly to the rotary screen. The device for producing the pattern combination also includes a post-run system.

  • Publication number: 20170191775
Abstract: A firearm safety and theft deterrent device is presented, which is firearm model-specific for a customized fit, and maintains a low profile in relation to the firearm. The firearm safety and theft deterrent device secures the trigger guard of the firearm, eliminating potential activation of the trigger, preventing accidental discharge, and rendering the firearm useless during a theft. A fitting system is designed as part of the device, and a hinge mechanism permits the two sides to open and close easily. A tether well contained within the device allows for the addition of a tether. The device has a cutout at the back which permits a close fit with the firearm and allows users to securely grip the firearm in one hand while installing or removing the device. Additionally, the firearm safety and theft deterrent device has a protective finish to prevent wear and tear on the firearm.
