Patent number: 11977937Abstract: The technology described herein allows a sender to initiate generation of a collaborative asset, which may be a video generated by merging videos provided by a group of users. The technology can facilitate the generation and collection of digital assets, such as video, images, and audio recordings from a group of users designed by the sender. The collaborative asset may be associated with a tangible object using a unique identifier located on the tangible object. The collaborative asset may be stored in computer memory on a user-experience server and associated with the unique identifier. When the unique identifier is provided to the user-experience server a second time, the collaborative asset can be retrieved and output to the computing device that provided the unique identifier. Thus, a user can initiate generation of a collaborative asset.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2022Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: Hallmark Cards, IncorporatedInventors: Kevin Swanson, Jennifer R. Publication number: 20230224199Abstract: A method for demodulating an RF signal to polar in-phase and quadrature (IQ) components that includes converting an RF signal with an analog-to-digital converter and calculating the polar in-phase and quadrature (IQ) components of the RF signal as an IQ phasor phase angle and an IQ amplitude using a digital processor. The analog-to-digital converter uses a sampling rate, where, when the sampling rate used has sampling rates other than 3 times an RF carrier frequency of the RF signal, a digital logic circuit splines data to the sampling rate of 3 times the RF carrier frequency of the RF signal. The digital processor calculates the polar in-phase and quadrature (IQ) components of the RF signal as an IQ phasor phase angle and an IQ amplitude using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and absolute value.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2022Publication date: July 13, 2023Applicant: THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AS REPRESENTED BY THE SECRETARY OF THE NAVYInventor: Paul David Swanson

Publication number: 20230175741Abstract: Closed-loop geothermal systems operate by extracting heat from the reservoir and transporting it to the surface. To maintain high enough temperatures at the surface it is necessary to have significantly higher relative reservoir temperatures. While the thermal energy of the sub surface is abundant, reservoir rock is a natural insulator with a thermal conductivity of less than 20 BTU*in2/ft*hr*F. This low thermal conductivity prevents rapid regeneration of the reservoir temperature around the wellbore reducing the relative temperature below what is needed for electrical production. The Thermal Soak method uses time and multiple closed-loop wells to overcome the low thermal conductivity allowing for continuous production of heated fluid at surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 23, 2021Publication date: June 8, 2023Inventors: Spencer Ryan Smith Bohlander, Jennifer Evelyn Bohlander, Kyle David Swanson

Publication number: 20220040493Abstract: Example phototherapy systems, methods of using a phototherapy system, and methods of manufacturing a phototherapy system are described. An example phototherapy system includes a handle and a phototherapy light source. The phototherapy light source is attached to the handle, adapted to emit a light in a therapeutic wavelength, and includes a plasma lamp. The plasma lamp can be disposed between sheets of transparent material, including quartz. The phototherapy light source can be adapted to emit a light in a UVB wavelength between about 300 nanometers and about 320 nanometers and can have an output of between about 15 mW/cm2 and about 21 mW/cm2.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 9, 2021Publication date: February 10, 2022Applicant: The Daavlin Distributing Co.Inventors: David Swanson, Robert Golding

Patent number: 10835676Abstract: A push button safety injector includes a housing having a proximal end, a distal end spaced from the proximal end, and a longitudinal axis. An injection ram is positioned along the longitudinal axis and configured to actuate a fluid chamber. The injection ram is biased toward the distal end in an initial position. A sliding member is configured to retain the injection ram in the initial position. A safety member confines radial movement of the sliding member in the initial position and allows radial movement of the sliding member in an armed position. A button is moveable between an initial extended position and a depressed position. The button is engagable with the sliding member and configured to move the sliding member radially in the armed position. The sliding member releases the injection ram when the button is in the depressed position.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2018Date of Patent: November 17, 2020Assignee: Antares Pharma, Inc.Inventors: Kevin David Swanson, Julius Sund, Peter A. Hoeft, Patrick E. Madsen

Patent number: 10802112Abstract: A chirped radio frequency signal is transmitted across an area of a potential threat. A reflected radio frequency return signal from an open barrel of a weapon at a location within the area of the potential threat is received at an incident angle through an aperture. An antenna at a position in an antenna array detects the reflected radio frequency return signal received at the incident angle through the aperture. The position of the antenna within the antenna array corresponds to a direction from which the reflected radio frequency return signal originates.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2018Date of Patent: October 13, 2020Assignee: United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Paul David Swanson, Jia-Chi S. Chieh

Patent number: 10490104Abstract: A training device for training a user on the operation of an auto-injector that dispenses a medicament. A needle guard is slidable from a first extended position relative to a housing prior to operation of the training device, to a retracted position during operation of the training device, and to a second extended position after operation of the training device. An actuation assembly controls the movement of the needle guard from the retracted position to the second extended position. A lock locks the needle guard in the second extended position. A safety is proximate a proximal end of the housing and prevents movement of the needle guard from the first extended position to the retracted position in a storage position. The needle guard is moveable into the retracted position with the safety in an armed position. The safety resets the lock upon returning the safety to the storage position.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2018Date of Patent: November 26, 2019Assignee: Antares Pharma, Inc.Inventors: Kevin David Swanson, Julius Sund
