  • Publication number: 20240153525
Abstract: Techniques for performing conversation recovery of a system/user exchange are described. In response to determining that an action responsive to a user input cannot be performed, a system may determine a topic to recommend to a user. The topic may be unrelated to the original substance of the user input. The system may have access to various data representing a context in which a user provides an input to the system. The system may use these inputs and various data at runtime to make a determination regarding whether a user should be recommended a topic, as well as what that topic should be. The system may cause a question be output to the user, with the question asking the user about the topic, for example whether the user would like a song played, whether the user would like to hear information about a particular individual (e.g., artist), whether the user would like to know about a particular skill (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20140303996
Abstract: A system and method to manage delivery of healthcare via a plurality of resources to a patient is provided. The system and method track and output a signal representative of a location of at least one of a series of resources relative to a control volume associated with the patient, acquire at least one signal representative of detecting ingress or egress of at least one of the plurality of resources relative to the control volume; and output a first signal representative of one of a series of milestones as defined in a predetermined protocol in response to detecting ingress or egress of at least one of the resources relative to the control volume.

  • Patent number: 8311850
Abstract: A method to schedule resources in delivery of healthcare to a series of patients is provided. The method comprises the steps of identifying an availability of the series of resources to deliver the healthcare to each patient; calculating a predicted duration to deliver the healthcare to each patient; calculating a schedule including a block of time dependent on the predicted duration for each resource to deliver healthcare to the patient, the block of time including a start time and an end time; calculating a confidence level in the schedule, the confidence level including a probability that one or more of the resources will not be available for the block of time of the schedule or calculating a likelihood that one or more resources will be available for the block of time in the schedule; and outputting the schedule and the confidence level in the schedule for display.
