  • Patent number: 11675435
Abstract: Apparatus for an electronic percussion system is provided, comprising: a plurality of sensors (12, 14, 16, 18); attaching means (10) for attaching the sensors to the hand and locating the sensors each at a respective predetermined location thereon, wherein each of the sensors is configured to send information for receipt by a determining means in response to impact of the sensor on a contact surface, wherein the attaching means and the sensors are together configured so that such information enables the determining means to distinguish each of the gestures from each other of the gestures. Each predetermined gesture is mapped to a respective sample, and performing of the gesture causes playing of the respective sample. The gestures may include a finger clicking action, a chest slap and a hand clap. There is also provided a related method of determining a percussion gesture.

  • Publication number: 20050106745
Abstract: Compound solubility and permeability are coordinately determined. High throughput solubility assays are set up, and the filtrate from the solubility assay is used as an input for PAMPA. In this way, the compound concentration during PAMPA is known exactly, and can be used as input to calculate Pe.

  • Patent number: 5443851
Abstract: Packaging apparatus and method, for use in controlled atmosphere packaging of horticultural produce in controlled permeability film. A valve apparatus mounted on or in a packaging film including a temperature sensitive sensor formed from a bimetallic or shape-memory material (2), or a chemical sensitive sensor formed from a swellable polymer, to actuate the valve member (pin or plug) (1) on, or in communication with the sensor. In use, after sealing the produce within the packaging film, the valve apparatus opens the packaging film in response to a temperature change of predetermined magnitude to allow oxygen flow for extension of storage life or fumigation of the produce.
