  • Publication number: 20110180772
Abstract: This invention discloses mechanical and hydraulic jacks for lifting heavy fireproof and burglary proof file cabinets with their contents inside for transportation to a truck or other destination. This jack can also lift lateral or regular file cabinets with their contents inside for transportation. It discloses a hook assembly which can be extended over the top of the cabinet remote from the jack with a hook to hold the cabinet from tilting. It discloses a lifting assembly with a lifting plate at the front bottom of the jack for inserting under the bottom corners of the cabinet for lifting. A device for tilting the cabinet away from the jack is disclosed to allow the lifting plate to be inserted under the cabinet. A lifting plate on the front bottom of the jack can be extended under the end of a file cabinet which is secured by the hooking assembly.

  • Patent number: 7248602
Abstract: A circuit and method for demultiplexing in a receiver a digital data stream including at least two types of data. In one particular application, such a receiver is used in a television system having a digital set-top-box receiver. A first control circuit extracts a packet identifier from an input data packet in the digital data stream, and generates a signal in dependence on whether the input data packet is of the first or second type. Sets of information associated with the first types of data packets and required by the receiver are stored in a memory under the control of a second control circuit. A third control circuit, responsive to receipt of the first type of input data packet, determines whether at least part of the input data packet matches the stored sets of information, and sets a match signal responsive thereto.

  • Publication number: 20060112000
Abstract: A stop quantity order (SQO) on a market-traded instrument for a computerized trading system. An order to buy [sell] instrument X is an SQO if, in addition to a limit price, and a stop price, it also specifies a stop quantity SQ. It is triggered by either of the following two conditions: The market's best offer [bid] price for the instrument is greater [less] than the stop price, or the market's best offer price equals the stop price and the quantity offered [bid] at the best offer [bid] price is less than or equal to the stop quantity. Once triggered, it is submitted to the market as a limit order at the limit price. General stop quantity Orders (GSQO) are similar to SQO's, but use two markets, one as a trigger instrument, and one as a trade instrument. An order to buy [sell] instrument X is a GSQO if it specifies a limit price, stop price, stop quantity SQ, a stop instrument Y, and a stop direction SD (bid or offer).

The apparatus generates a user interface allowing a user to control a graphics engine. The apparatus has a first input for receiving at least one template data element, the template data element including a graphics component and a data field component suitable for receiving an information unit. The apparatus further comprises a second input coupled to an information unit source. A processing unit coupled to the first input and second input processes the template data element and the information unit source to enter in the data field component is selected information unit to form a representation of a graphics page that results from a combination of the template data element and the selected information unit.

  • Publication number: 20050052469
Abstract: A method of rendering a low-resolution thumbnail image at an embedded imaging device is described. An original digital negative is captured at the embedded imaging device at an original resolution and a thumbnail digital image of the original digital negative is generated at a first resolution. The thumbnail digital image is displayed on a display device coupled to the embedded imaging device and modified to form a first resultant image at the first resolution. A first edit list based upon the modifying is generated and associated with the first resultant image and linked to the original digital negative. The linked first edit list, the original digital negative, and the first resultant image are stored at the embedded imaging device and displayed at the display device.

  • Publication number: 20040105388
Abstract: A router node for a broadband Internet access carrier environment scales in the data forwarding plane and the routing control plane. The router node architecture ensures satisfactory isolation between routing instances and satisfactory isolation between data forwarding plane and routing control plane resources bound to each routing instance. The router node has a dedicated control fabric which is nonblocking. The control fabric is reserved for traffic involving at least one module in the routing control plane. The control fabric further provides resources, such as physical paths, stores and tokens, dedicated to particular pairs of modules on the control fabric. The control fabric supports a configurable number of routing modules. The router node may be arranged in a multi-router configuration in which the control fabric has at least two routing modules.

  • Publication number: 20040027593
Abstract: A method to improve the performance of rendering image data (402) by converting what would normally be considered resolution-dependent image behavior into behavior that is substantially resolution-independent. This allows significant performance improvement since the rendering (454) can be performed on the lower-resolution image data used, for example, for on-screen viewing and when the image effect is applied to a higher resolution rendering, the effect, as viewed, is substantially the same as the effect viewed at a lower resolution. This conversion of normally resolution-dependent behaviors into pseudo-resolution-independent behaviors also allows the image effects to be applied to be carried out on a lower resolution image with confidence that when the image is rendered at a higher resolution that the image effects applied will substantially have the same appearance that the effect had at the lower resolution.

  • Publication number: 20020103921
Abstract: A method and system for providing broadband Internet access, possibly on a wholesale basis. High-bandwidth Internet traffic over an Internet backbone is channelized onto input/output ports of a routing device. The routing device contains multiple, individual, full-function routers, each capable of routing at least some portion of the high-bandwidth Internet traffic. The channels and/or ports are grouped to define a network interface, and traffic over the network interface is assigned to one of the individual routers for processing. Routing and forwarding information is stored on a plurality of line cards, which forward the Internet traffic at line speed once routing instantiations are performed by the routers. A network interface and router(s) can be assigned to a customer, either for the customer to use or to provide to a secondary user. Customer access can be altered as needed, simply by reassigning, adding or removing the router(s) and/or line card(s).
