  • Publication number: 20080011626
Abstract: A dispenser includes an upper member having a slot and a lower member attached to the upper member thereby forming a housing, the lower member having an outer surface; a stack of sheets assembled in a fan-fold configuration disposed in the housing; anda polymeric holding film having a first surface attached to the outer surface of the lower member. The holding film having a flexural modulus less than about 50 MPa, as measured according to ASTMD790 standard, and a roughness parameter, Ra of less than about 1 micrometer, as calculated according to ASME B46.1 standard.

  • Publication number: 20070248815
Abstract: An index card assembly which allows selective adherence of an index card to a mounting surface is disclosed. A base paper layer of the index card has a front side and an opposite back side. The paper layer has an upper edge with a portion of the paper layer removed to define a paperless zone which includes a gap across the upper edge. A cover layer having an outer face and an inner face is adhered by pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on its inner face to the front side of the paper layer. The cover layer is aligned to cover the paperless zone with a top of the cover layer extending across the gap of the paperless zone. The adhesive on the inner face of the cover layer is thus exposed across the paper zone on the back side of the paper layer. The thickness of the paper layer prevents the adhesive from contacting a surface abutting the back side of the paper layer in the absence of the application of a threshold level of pressure against the outer face of the cover layer.

  • Publication number: 20060210792
Abstract: The invention provides an article having a plurality of sheets stacked on top of one another. Each sheet has opposing, first and second surfaces, opposing upper and lower 730 edges, and opposing first and second side edges. Disposed on the first surface and adjacent to the lower edge of the sheet is a securing mechanism that has an adhesive disposed between first and second raised elements. The first and second raised element each has an application surface. The pressure sensitive adhesive has an exposed surface. The height of the adhesive, as measured from its exposed surface to the second surface is shorter than the height of either raised element, as measured from its application surface to the second surface. The sheets are attached together using various means.

  • Publication number: 20060188710
Abstract: The inventive pad has a plurality of sheets stacked on top of one another. Each sheet having opposing, writeable first and second surfaces, opposing upper and lower edges, and opposing first and second side edges. A securing mechanism is disposed on the second surface and proximate to the upper edge of the sheet. The securing mechanism includes (a) first and second raised elements and (b) a pressure sensitive adhesive. Each element has an application surface and is aligned generally parallel to and spaced apart from one another. The adhesive has an exposed surface and is disposed between the first and second raised element. The height of the adhesive, as measured from its exposed surface to the second surface is shorter than the height of either raised element, as measure from its application surface to the second surface. The sheets are attached together forming the pad.

  • Publication number: 20060000133
Abstract: A tab for attaching to sheet material comprises a substrate, a cut and an adhesive. The substrate includes a front side and a back side opposite the front side, and the substrate further includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The cut through the upper portion of the substrate forms a flap. The adhesive is along the lower portion of the back side of the substrate, and the upper portion of the substrate is free of adhesive.

  • Publication number: 20060000134
Abstract: A tab for attaching to sheet material comprises a substrate including a front side, a back side opposite the front side, an upper portion, a middle portion, and a lower portion. The tab includes a cut through the middle portion of the substrate to form a flap, an adhesive along the upper portion of the back side and along the lower portion of the back side of the substrate, and a fold-line through the middle portion which allows the substrate to be folded. When the substrate is folded along the fold-line, the flap extends beyond the fold-line and the back side of the upper portion faces the back side of the middle portion.

  • Publication number: 20050111904
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a combined writing instrument/sheet material dispenser. The present invention is comprised of a body that has a tip portion, a sheet material dispenser portion and a grip portion disposed between the tip portion and the sheet material dispenser portion. Formed within the sheet material dispensing portion of the body is a compartment that is sized to receive and hold a stack of sheet material. The stack of sheet material is formed from a plurality of individual sheets that are adhered together with a releasable adhesive layer. A slot is formed in the sheet material dispensing portion of the body to communicate with the compartment and there by allow a top-most sheet in the stack to be exposed for use.
