  • Publication number: 20120253379
Abstract: An apparatus for treating pelvic pain and related urinary and sexual dysfunction includes a rod having a first end and a second end. A pressure applicator is attached to the second end of the rod. The pressure applicator is adapted to be inserted into a patient's body cavity for engagement with a myofascial trigger point. A sensor produces an output signal in response to deflection of the rod when pressure is applied to the myofascial trigger point by the pressure applicator.

  • Patent number: 7996421
Abstract: Application access to locally and remotely exported file systems is coordinated to allow caching data for exported file systems accessed by remote clients. In response to a request or file system access, it is determined whether the request relates to a locally exported file system or a remotely exported file system. If the request relates to a locally exported file system, a local access routine is invoked to obtain access permissions to the locally exported file system. If the request relates to remotely exported file system, a remote access routine is invoked to communicate with a local access routine in a file server responsible for coordinating access to the remotely exported file system to obtain access permissions to the remotely exported file system.

  • Patent number: 7987529
Abstract: An apparatus for discharging bodily wastes has a receptacle for holding a person's bodily waste products, including an upwardly facing opening for receiving the waste products. A forward load-bearing member extends from the receptacle to provide a support for at least one foot of a person discharging waste products into the receptacle. A rear load-bearing member arranged to engage the lower torso of the person above the buttocks when the person has at least one foot in the forward load-bearing member. The rear load-bearing member and the forward load bearing member are spaced apart a distance that is sufficient to hold a person therebetween with the person's buttocks suspended over the opening of the receptacle and the person's center of gravity behind the one foot supported in the forward load bearing member.

  • Patent number: 7958200
Abstract: Remote clients may access remotely exported file systems using a remote token manager that provides communication among a plurality of caching file servers. In response to a client request for file system access, a program is invoked to determine whether the request relates to a locally exported file system exported by a local caching file server or a remotely exported file system exported by a remote caching file server. If the request relates to a locally exported file system, a local token manager is invoked to obtain a token granting access permission to the locally exported file system. If the request relates to a remotely exported file system, a remote token manager is invoked to communicate with a local access routine in the remote caching file server to obtain a token granting access permission for the remotely exported file system.

  • Patent number: 7698602
Abstract: A set of trace data are generated for full tracing in private memory on a work unit basis. Generating the set of trace data includes source code having trace statements, where trace data based on the work unit includes either an identifier or a layer to establish a start and an end of the work unit, where either the identifier or the layer is specific to an application. Each trace data entry in the set of trace data created while executing a work unit contains a selection field to enable selecting which entries are transferred to the shared trace table from the private memory, when a work unit completes.

  • Patent number: 7537475
Abstract: An electrical connector having a cup-like first dielectric housing with electrical contacts retained by a base portion of the housing is disclosed. The electrical contacts are disposed in a region spaced from a sidewall portion. An adhesive filled capsule is disposed in the region. A second dielectric housing is configured for insertion into the cup-like first dielectric housing and having second electrical contacts retained by the second housing configured for mating with the first electrical contacts. The second dielectric housing has a sidewall with a frontal portion disposed in the region for engaging and rupturing the capsule when the second dielectric housing is inserted within the first dielectric housing to release adhesive from the adhesive filled capsule into the cup-like, first dielectric housing.

  • Publication number: 20070061590
Abstract: A system and method for authentication a user's identity via biometrics is disclosed. The system includes client software, an authentication server, and an independent biometric services server. Data associated with the biometric samples provided by a user are stored in the biometric services server and the user is assigned a unique identifier. The authentication server stores biometric templates consisting of information regarding the biometric samples and type of samples, e.g. voice, retina scans, fingerprints, DNA, etc. The authentication server also stores at least one pointer to the biometrics services server providing a link between the biometric samples stored in the biometric services server and the user's biometric template(s). Identity authentication is accomplished by a series of steps including querying the user for an identifier and analyzing a biometric sample provided by the user with the biometric samples stored in the biometric services server.
