Abstract: An apparatus for treating pelvic pain and related urinary and sexual dysfunction includes a rod having a first end and a second end. A pressure applicator is attached to the second end of the rod. The pressure applicator is adapted to be inserted into a patient's body cavity for engagement with a myofascial trigger point. A sensor produces an output signal in response to deflection of the rod when pressure is applied to the myofascial trigger point by the pressure applicator.

A forward load-bearing member extends from the receptacle to provide a support for at least one foot of a person discharging waste products into the receptacle. A rear load-bearing member arranged to engage the lower torso of the person above the buttocks when the person has at least one foot in the forward load-bearing member. The rear load-bearing member and the forward load bearing member are spaced apart a distance that is sufficient to hold a person therebetween with the person's buttocks suspended over the opening of the receptacle and the person's center of gravity behind the one foot supported in the forward load bearing member.

The system includes client software, an authentication server, and an independent biometric services server. Data associated with the biometric samples provided by a user are stored in the biometric services server and the user is assigned a unique identifier. The authentication server stores biometric templates consisting of information regarding the biometric samples and type of samples, e.g. voice, retina scans, fingerprints, DNA, etc. The authentication server also stores at least one pointer to the biometrics services server providing a link between the biometric samples stored in the biometric services server and the user's biometric template(s). Identity authentication is accomplished by a series of steps including querying the user for an identifier and analyzing a biometric sample provided by the user with the biometric samples stored in the biometric services server.
