  • Patent number: 8118589
Abstract: A flame color-enhancing apparatus includes a hollow outer tubular member having a predetermined copper content, a predetermined inside diameter and surface, and a first predetermined length; and an internal tubular member frictionally disposed within the outer tubular member to a predetermined ratio of contact of the interior surface of the outer member to exterior surface of the internal tubular member. The internal tubular member contains a predetermined content of chlorine-based polymer and has a second predetermined length and an outside diameter substantially equal to the predetermined inside diameter.

  • Publication number: 20100261386
Abstract: An adapter is provided for connecting to an electrical wall outlet. The adapter includes a housing, a power conductor extending from the housing and that couples to a power side of the electrical wall outlet, a neutral conductor extending from the housing that couples to a neutral side of the electrical wall outlet, a receptacle disposed in the housing and indirectly coupled to the power and neutral conductors that receives a low voltage plug and that couples a low voltage data signal between the low voltage plug and wall outlet through the power and neutral conductors.

  • Patent number: 7679507
Abstract: A method for monitoring an alarm zone within a perimeter, border and/or building includes capturing video image data of an alarm event detected in the alarm zone, and automatically establishing a cell phone session with an end-user to verify a true or false nature of the detected alarm. The end-user may use the cell phone display to review the video during the cell phone session, and may use the cell phone's key for the verifying. The novel monitoring method with end-user alarm event verification avoids false alarms being raised where the nature of the detected alarm event is false, and the verifying occurs before a false alarm is raised/communicated.

  • Patent number: 5442791
Abstract: An integrated remote execution system manages resources and provides for the distributed and remote execution of remote requests to those resources in a heterogenous computer network environment that has a plurality of resources loosely coupled to each other. The resources include at least two or more computer processors executing different operating system programs and any memory devices and subordinate programs operating together with the computer processors. Three major components are integrated into a single system by providing for a common remote execution interface that is incorporated into the requesting application program to provide a single programming interface for making remote requests to the system, a separate resource management component to provide information about the various resources in the network, and a remote service routine that can be executed on any of the computer processors selected perform the remote request.
