  • Patent number: 7178299
Abstract: A tile for lining an internal surface in a heavy wear area. The tile includes at least one locating rod embedded within said tile and an internal mechanism for laterally extending said at least one locating rod out of said tile and into a gap in an adjoining structure which may be another tile. The tiles forming the lining surface are securely held in place as a result of the selective deployment of the locating rods into a gap in the adjoining structure.

  • Patent number: 5715889
Abstract: An improvement in a fin and tube heat exchanger of the type used in condensers, evaporators, and fluid coolers in refrigeration systems and the like. The fin and tube heat exchanger comprises at least one coil including fins, tubes and a support. The improved fin and tube heat exchanger has no end plates or center plates by which typically the coils are supported, but the coil of the improved fin and tube heat exchanger is supported solely by the fins thereof resting on the support. The fins of the coils are typically straight along the lower edges thereof from end to end, but alternatively may be notched and a flange formed adjacent each notch to rest upon the support with the support being received in the notch.

  • Patent number: 4091637
Abstract: Apparatus for defrosting a heat exchanger, comprises a plurality of spaced parallel heat exchanger fins having sets of circular, collared, axially aligned apertures. The collars of each set coacting to define an essentially continuous tube. Refrigerant tubes pass through the essentially continuous tubes defined by a majority of the sets of apertures and are sized for engagement by the collars of the apertures in intimate heat conductive relation. Axially replaceable electrical heating elements traverse the essentially continuous tubes defined by a minority of sets of apertures instead of refrigerant tubes and the heating elements are sized to fit loosely in the apertures so the heat is transmitted from the element to the collars both by radiation and by conduction and so that axial relative movement between the elements and the collars is enabled.
