Patent number: 10437778Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for archive validation and retention parameter determination for documents. The system may generate or receive image documents. Utilizing image quality and data storage metrics the system may trigger the purging and/or retention of documents in image and/or paper form. Furthermore, the system may identify a duration of storage, location of storage, and the like. Upon retention, the system may continually monitor the documents and store metadata associated with the use of the retained documents. This monitoring may identify a period for purging the document, efficiently allowing for physical or server space availability.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2016Date of Patent: October 8, 2019Assignee: BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATIONInventors: Kerry M. Cantley, Shawn Cart Gunsolley, Erin Cassell, Jeffrey R. Goertz, Geoffrey Reed Williams, Deborah A. Copes, Carl Parziale, Emily Brooke Gillespie, David Jacob Feezor

Patent number: 10437880Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for a feedback loop for enhancing archive validation and retention parameter determination for documents. The system may generate or receive image documents. Utilizing image quality and data storage metrics the system may trigger the purging and/or retention of documents in image and/or paper form. Upon retention, the system may continually monitor the documents and store metadata associated with the use of the retained documents. Once the documents are purged, the system compiles historic data points associated with the image quality and data storage metrics. Furthermore, the system extracts the metadata associated with the monitoring of retained documents. These data points and metadata are reviewed to provide revisions in retention parameters for specific documents. A feedback loop directly communicates and integrates the revisions to the metric and criteria for instant integration.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2016Date of Patent: October 8, 2019Assignee: BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATIONInventors: Kerry M. Publication number: 20170372279Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide for improving the capacity, speed, confidence, and efficiency of processing systems for processing resources instruments by utilizing predictive determination of resource instrument information from one or more resource instruments. As such, while processing resource instruments, instead of capturing all of the resource instrument information from the resource instruments, the present invention utilizes predictive determination of the resource instrument information in order to reduce the processing capacity needed, the processing run-times, processing errors, and unnecessary processing depending on the resource instruments and/or resource processing channels being used.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2016Publication date: December 28, 2017Inventors: Amit Kumar, Deborah A. Patent number: 9824288Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for generating an overlay of a highlight or mask of a negotiable instrument on a representative's display for keying the instrument. The system overlays and changes the display of a representative's computer screen in real-time for improved keying instruments by generating highlighting or masking of specified portions of the instrument. The invention generates a grid including an X and Y axis on the instrument and identifies the parameter coordinates for the various indicia on the instrument. The invention may contain code for highlighting or masking various indicia on the instrument using the parameter coordinates for mapping. A programmed overlay may be performed on an image of the instrument in real-time as it is queued onto a representative's display. Upon completion of the representative's keying of the instrument, the overlay is removed for storage of the image of the instrument.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2016Date of Patent: November 21, 2017Assignee: BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATIONInventors: John B. Hall, Deborah A. Copes, Bethany M. Axtell, Milton A. Danielson, Melody L. Gentile, Kerry Kurt Simpkins

Patent number: 9384454Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products are disclosed that provide an enterprise componentized workflow application (ECWA). In some embodiments, the system includes self-contained components configured for process management, each component including a processor, a memory, and a set of instructions stored in the memory. The loosely-coupled components, with encapsulation, are plug-in configurable, JMX controlled, and throttle and safety enabled. Each component receives a responsibility injection and a capability injection, defining roles and abilities for the components, in order to accomplish business processes. The components define independently-deployed system nodes connected via communication conduits. The ECWA components provide an environment for decentralized workflow management that extends the BPMN model. The system unifies flow-oriented modeling and context-oriented architecture.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2013Date of Patent: July 5, 2016Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventors: Narasimha Rao Meda, Athar Syed, Shyaam Sundar Neelam, Zhu Yifei, Deborah A. Patent number: 8504477Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for automatically processing positive pay return decisions. Positive pay return decisions are financial client decisions that authorize return of a pay item, such as a check, in the event that the client determines that the pay item warrants return, such as in the instance in which the check has been fraudulently altered or the like. Automated processing provides for deleting pay status from a service management system, creating a credit transaction to credit an appropriate demand deposit account and creating a return file that identifies the item and the reason for return.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2009Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventors: Deborah A.
