Abstract: A laundry tag is described comprising a first male portion (1) having at least one projecting member (3), and a second female portion (2) defining a recessed region (4) to receive the projecting member and fixedly engage thereupon to hold the two portions together, wherein one of the said portions comprises a passive RFID transponder (7). A laundry tagging kit and laundry management system and a method of tagging laundry to operate such a system are also described.

Abstract: An attachable RFID tag is described having a containment head portion (1) containing a passive RFID transponder (8) and an attachment portion comprising an elongate projection therefrom, which projection is discontinuously threaded, with a screw-threaded portion (5) and an unthreaded portion (6) of longitudinal extent greater than the thickness of the item to be tagged. A tagging system and a method of tagging and of operating a tagging system are also described.

Abstract: A cuff portion for a forearm crutch, and a forearm crutch incorporating such a cuff portion are described. The forearm crutch consists of a lower elongate and generally straight part, an upper elongate generally straight part connected to and in particular angled relative to the lower elongate part, a handle part for gripping by a patient for example at or about the said angle, and a cuff portion connected to the end of the upper straight part. The cuff portion is modified by provision of a stabilising arm (4, 5) connected to the cuff (2) and outwardly extendable relative to the cuff so as to be moveable between a retracted position close to the side of the cuff and an extended position outwardly from the side of the cuff so as to define in combination with the cuff a base on which the crutch can be stood in an upright position.
