  • Publication number: 20240012157
Abstract: In some implementations, an apparatus may receive a request for the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) position fix information. The request may include an accuracy requirement. The apparatus may determine a set of GNSS bands to use to determine the GNSS position fix information. The set of GNSS bands may comprise one or more bands from a plurality of available GNSS bands, and determining the set of GNSS bands to use may be based at least in part on the accuracy requirement. The apparatus may determine the GNSS position fix information based at least in part on GNSS signals received via the selected set of GNSS bands. The apparatus may provide the GNSS position fix information (e.g., to an application processor). The GNSS position fix information may comprise a GNSS position fix, pseudorange information, or both.

  • Patent number: 11754723
Abstract: An apparatus control method includes: controlling a first frequency band receive chain, of an apparatus, to alternate being on and off with a first duty cycle, the first frequency band receive chain being configured to measure satellite signals within a first frequency band; determining one or more performance criteria; and controlling, based on the one or more performance criteria, a second frequency band receive chain, of the apparatus, to alternate being on and off with a second duty cycle, the second frequency band receive chain being configured to measure satellite signals within a second frequency band.

  • Patent number: 9661460
Abstract: A dual SIM mobile terminal, such as a Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA) mobile terminal, connects to a network and performs a user plane or control plane positioning session through the network. When the positioning session is originated by the mobile terminal, either SIM card may be used to connect to its associated network. When the positioning session is originated by another entity in the network, either SIM card may be used for the positioning session. When the mobile terminal connects to a network for an emergency call using either SIM card and an emergency positioning session is performed through the network, the emergency positioning session is permitted only during the emergency call and an emergency callback period and permitted only on a subscription on which the emergency call originated, and no non-emergency positioning sessions with either SIM card is permitted during the emergency positioning session or emergency call.

  • Patent number: 7751482
Abstract: Motion vectors for encoding a predicted frame relative to a reference frame are determined from a phase correlation of corresponding regions of the predicted frame and reference frame. Peaks in the phase correlation are identified, and the location of the peaks are used as candidate motion vectors. From this limited set of candidate motion vectors, the best motion vectors for predicting blocks within each region can be readily identified.
