    Abstract: An apparatus for heating food is provided which is comprised of a heat distributing device, a base upon which the device rests, a heat source underneath the device, and a lid resting on the base and covering the device. The device is comprised of a heat conductive element presenting a surface for receiving food and a heat distributing concave shield coupled to the element and defining an air cavity under a substantial portion of the element. This apparatus may be used to keep food warm, moist, and/or crisp for hours.

    Abstract: A bedpan has a pan with an open top. The pan has back wall, a bottom surface, a pair of sidewalls and a front wall. A seat is secured to the pan. The seat has an opening in its center and a retaining wall extending downwardly from the seat and into the pan. A cover is hingedly connected to the pan. The cover has a handle and a lid and the cover has both an open and a closed position. The lid abuts the seat when the cover is in its closed position. The handle abuts the back wall of the pan when the cover is in its open position. A seal is disposed between the pan and the seat to further prevent leakage of the bedpan contents. A disposable bag is placed inside of the pan and secured to the bedpan.

    Abstract: A device for separating liquids has a side wall enclosing an interior space. A bottom is connected to the side wall adjacent a lower edge of the side wall and has an aperture formed therein at a position above the lower edge. The bottom extends upwardly and inwardly toward the aperture such that as the device is forced downwardly into a combination of liquids, a liquid floating on top of another different liquid is forced through the aperture and contained by the side wall and the bottom portion.

    Abstract: A skimmer for removing fat from a liquid comprising a bowl, and a handle member releasably engaging the bowl. The bowl has a structure defining an opening in the bottom of the bowl. A bowl member is secured to the bottom of the bowl in proximity to the opening. The handle member comprises a generally hollow handle neck having a structure defining a handle bore and a longitudinal slot communicating with the handle bore. A plunger is slidably disposed in the handle bore, and a trigger member is secured to the plunger and protrudes through the longitudinal slot. A spring is disposed in the handle bore and engages the plunger for biasing the plunger.
