  • Publication number: 20230268249
Abstract: The present application relates to EIC-INTEGRATED PICs. More particularly, various embodiments relate to EIC-INTEGRATED PICs enabling effective thermal management temperature control and heat removal.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 13, 2023
    Publication date: August 24, 2023
Applicant: Nokia Solutions and Networks Oy
Inventors: Alexandre Shen, Ryan Enright, Delphine Neel, David Bitauld
  • Publication number: 20230145652
Abstract: A method for on-silicon integration of a III-V-based material component includes providing a first substrate having a silicon-based optical layer including a waveguide, transferring a second substrate of III-V-based material on the optical layer, and forming the III-V component from the second substrate, so as to enable a coupling between the waveguide and the III-V component, by preserving a III-V-based material layer extending laterally. The method also includes forming by epitaxy from the III-V layer, an InP:Fe-based structure laterally bordering the III-V component, forming a layer including contacts configured to contact the III-V component, and transferring a third silicon-based substrate onto the layer including the contacts.

Applicants: COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ENERGIES ALTERNATIVES, THALES
    Inventors: Delphine NEEL, David BITAULD
  • Patent number: 8569151
Abstract: A method of formation of nanowires at a surface of a substrate attached to a solid immersion lens. The method includes formation of a catalyst element at the surface of the substrate and growth of nanowires from the catalyst element formed at the surface of the substrate. The catalyst element is a metal nanoparticle and the formation of the catalyst element at the surface of the substrate deposits the metal nanoparticle using a light beam focused by the solid immersion lens at the surface of the substrate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 28, 2010
Date of Patent: October 29, 2013
Assignee: Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives
Inventors: Delphine Neel, Pierre Ferret, Stéphane Getin
  • Patent number: 8237104
Abstract: A device for trapping particles contained in a liquid (L) placed in a tank, characterized in that it comprises a substrate that is transparent at a working wavelength, a thin layer of material with non-linear optical properties that are reversible at the working wavelength and which is fixed to a first face of the transparent substrate to form all or part of at least one wall of the tank, a device for forming an optical trap which comprises a laser source which emits a laser beam and means for forming a waist of the laser beam, the laser beam being incident upon that face of the transparent substrate that lies on the opposite side to the first face and the waist of the laser beam being formed in the thin layer, an evanescent electromagnetic field forming at the surface of the thin layer.

Date of Patent: August 7, 2012
Assignee: Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives
