Abstract: A versatile sports board comprising a top deck for supporting an operator, continuous side wall extending from the top deck and a bottom wall extending from the side wall, wherein the top deck, side wall and bottom wall define an internal cavity containing gas and, optionally, a lightweight material. The sports board preferably includes two reinforcing ribs formed in the bottom wall. The ribs may be formed as inverted U shaped structures. The sports board may further incorporate foot restraint means and also may be adapted to receive skateboard trucks. In a further embodiment, the board may include a recess adapted to form a universal coupling with a base support so that an operator can practice balance and manoeuvres.
