  • Publication number: 20090056077
Abstract: A hinged fastener for a shower door having two juxtaposed door panels. The hinged fastener comprises two hinge portions each adapted to be attached to one of the two door panels, the hinge portions being pivotally connected to one another and pivoting about a hinge pivot axis located between the two door panels to form a hinge; and at least one mounting assembly pivotally connected to a mounting pivot axis, parallel to the hinge pivot axis, the mounting assembly pivoting about the mounting pivot axis, independently of the hinge portions, the mounting assembly being engaged with a shower rail for simultaneous displacement of the door panels of the shower door relative to the shower rail. The hinge pivot axis can be the mounting pivot axis and there can be a single mounting assembly. The mounting assembly can further comprise a roller assembly or a displacement assembly.

  • Patent number: 5065156
Abstract: A computer-controlled coin parking meter for managing the use of a parking lot having up to about ten parking spaces. It includes a first display device which singularly identifies the parking places and push button switches for operating it; a second display device indicating the parking time bought for the identified space; a rotary disk having, along its periphery, visible indicia indicating whether or not parking time has been paid for the parking places and a step-motor for rotating the disk so as to provide this latter information. The meter further includes a coin receiving and counting machine capable of allowing operation of the second display device so that it indicates the parking time bought and also capable of allowing rotation of the step motor and therefore of the indicia disk to display the information.

  • Patent number: 4896826
Abstract: A tamper-deterrent box for collecting travel fees on board of a bus. It has a case at the top of which are two distinct slots for feeding paper money through one and coins to the other. Beneath each slot is a fee gathering container where the fees may be received and view for control through a window at the front of the case. The gathering containers comprise pivotable guide slides brought against the front wall of the case. A lever, operable from outside the case, may cause pivoting of the guide slides to allow the fees to fall into individual chutes and thence into one of two compartments of a fee receptacle located in a housing at the bottom part of the case. The receptacle has a door at the top connected to a first lock that allows its opening only when the receptacle is in the housing.

  • Patent number: 4807453
Abstract: A locking fixture for use in locking up two wheeled vehicles such as bicycles or motorcycles. The fixture has a housing and at least one elongated, flexible locking member. One end of the locking member is fixedly mounted within the housing. The other end of the locking member is adapted to be inserted into the housing through an opening, and held therein to form a closed loop to hold the vehicle to the housing. A latch is provided within the housing to hold the other end of the locking member. A lock accessible from outside of the housing, is provided to block the latch in holding position to prevent withdrawal of the locking member and unauthorized retrieval of the vehicle.
