  • Patent number: 11369747
Abstract: A syringe has a syringe body configured to receive a product for injection. Gripping wings are arranged at one end of the syringe body. A piston rod is mounted so as to be able to slide inside the syringe body. A stop is arranged at a first end of the piston rod and has an end-of-travel position inside the syringe body. A pusher is arranged at a second end of the piston rod. The pusher has a mass greater than or equal to a threshold value beyond which the syringe has a center of gravity situated outside the syringe body when the stop is in the end-of-travel position.

  • Patent number: 8470033
Abstract: A flexible intraocular implant for placing in a capsular bag, the implant comprising an optical portion of substantially circular shape that presents an optical axis, and a haptic portion connected to the periphery of the optical portion, said haptic portion comprising: a contact portion constituted by n (n?2) contact elements in the form of circular arcs all having the same radius of curvature and each having an outer edge that is in contact with the equatorial zone of the capsular bag, and n connection elements, each connection element being connected via respective ends to two consecutive contact elements, presenting a deformable curved shape, and presenting stiffness that is much less than that of the contact elements; and n deformable connection arms each connected to the periphery of the optical portion and to a contact element.

  • Publication number: 20100292652
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a cap (40) for a syringe needle designed to be mounted on the body of a syringe. The cap is characterized in that it comprises: an envelope-forming part (42) for receiving the needle; a fixation piece (44) capable of receiving the base of the needle and comprising on its external surface a threaded section (54) capable of cooperating with an internal screw thread arranged at one end of the syringe body; and divisible portions (46a, 46b) for connecting the said envelope-forming part and the said fixation piece, the divisible portions having certain dimensions so that they break when a predetermined torque is applied to the envelope-forming part, even though the threaded section of the fixation piece was engaged with the internal screw thread of the syringe body.

  • Patent number: 6926744
Abstract: The invention relates to an intraocular implant comprising an optical portion presenting an anterior optical surface (24) and a posterior optical surface (26), and at least one haptic element (12, 14), each haptic element presenting a connection zone at the periphery of the optical portion. Outside the connection zones, the optical portion further comprises a cylindrical side face of diameter D1 connected to the posterior optical surface of the optical portion. The posterior optical surface (26) is bounded by a circle of diameter D1. In each connection zone, the implant comprises a radial extension (30) presenting an anterior face (30a), a posterior face (30b), and a side face (30c) substantially disposed on a ruled surface of diameter D2 where D2>D1, and presenting a length h? in the direction of the axis, said length h? being substantially equal to h. The posterior face (30b) of each extension is disposed on the spherical cap containing the posterior optical surface.
