    Abstract: The invention relates to a module for processing a fluid having a body of wound layers of a sheet material, the body having inner and outer surfaces, first and second end faces and a passage extending along the winding axis of said body in fluid communication with the inner surface, the sheet material having openings forming at least three types of channels, the channels extending from the inner surface to the outer surface, a first type of channel being open at the outer surface of the body and closed at the other end, a second type of channel being open at the inner surface of the body, in fluid communication with said passage and closed at the other end, a third type of channel being closed at both ends thereof and positioned such as to receive fluid from one or more channels of the first or second type.
