Abstract: A system and related method are described for managing business information in the home furnishings industry. The method provides a forum for subscribing consumers, retailers, and/or distributors to reduce costs and increase efficiency by directly exchanging information with one another. A consumer may query, for example, a specific item by inputting search criteria into the fields of a search engine. In response, the search engine directly provides information on retailers and/or distributors that sell the specific item, preferably in the consumer's area, to the consumer.
