  • Patent number: 9508470
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure can include a method for reducing or repairing vibration-caused damage in a stator bar, and a dynamoelectric machine resulting therefrom. The method for reducing vibration-caused damage in a stator can include applying, from within a ventilation slot of a stator core, a liquid based vibration-absorbing material onto a side ripple spring, the side ripple spring being in contact with a stator bar and the stator core; and allowing the liquid based vibration-absorbing material to cure, wherein the cured vibration-absorbing material remains in contact with the side ripple spring for absorbing stator vibrations.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 29, 2013
Date of Patent: November 29, 2016
    Assignee: General Electric Company
Inventors: Jessica Frances Nimmons, Daniel Lawrence Banowetz, Jessica Mary Powers, Dennis Anthony Pasquarella, Leonard Paul Squillacioti

  • Patent number: 8467977
Abstract: A carbon dioxide (CO2) purity sensor package includes a fiber core, a periodic refractive index modulated fiber grating structure within the fiber core and a fiber cladding. A thermally conductive sensing layer is positioned about a portion of the fiber cladding surrounding the periodic refractive index modulated fiber grating structure. A gas chamber encloses the fiber cladding with the thermally conductive sensing layer.
