  • Publication number: 20130285449
Abstract: A power system and method includes a power source; one or more loads that receive power from the power source; a boost circuit for stepping up an input voltage from a primary power source; a capacitor for storing a stepped up voltage from the boost circuit; and a buck circuit for stepping down a voltage from the capacitor, and providing a stepped down voltage to the one or more loads when the power source is unavailable.

  • Patent number: 8365574
Abstract: A method for minimizing stray current in capacitive sensor data includes receiving a first input from a first wire of a wire harness, the wire harness comprising a plurality of twisted wires, the first input comprising a first signal comprising first sensor data and stray current; receiving a second input from a second wire of the wire harness, the second input comprising a second signal comprising stray current; and subtracting the second signal from the first signal to determine the first sensor data. A system for minimizing stray current in capacitive sensor data is also provided.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6777822
Abstract: An APU system provides an APU which drives a permanent magnet generator, an APU controller and a fuel controller. The APU controller controls the APU speed through communication with the fuel controller to maintain the generator voltage output within specified limits in response to an engine speed set point signal, a voltage set point signal and a voltage output signal.

  • Patent number: 6122575
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product assist a technician in troubleshooting an aircraft auxiliary power unit (APU). A portable computer is couplable of download the fault data captured in a memory of the ECU. The fault data corresponds to one or more instances of APU failure. The computer is further programmed to compare the fault data to predetermined fault patterns stored in a database. Each record of the database has one of the fault patterns, a corresponding fault indication, and a corresponding service recommendation indication. The computer is further programmed so that when a record in which the fault pattern matches the fault data is found, the corresponding fault indication and service recommendation are retrieved from the database and provided to the technician via the computer's display or other suitable output mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5723103
Abstract: This invention provides compounds of the formula I ##STR1## wherein, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and R.sup.3 are independently ?a first halogen atom,! fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy, alkenoxy, or alkynoxy, wherein R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 can also independently be H, wherein at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and R.sup.3 is ?a second halogen atom! fluorine, bromine, iodine or is substituted with ?a second halogen atom,! fluorine, bromine or iodine and R.sup.4 is H or lower alkyl. The invention also provides precursors of formula I, radioactive analogs of formula I, and methods of using the compounds for the identification of 5-HT-3 receptors and the detection and treatment of abnormal conditions associated therewith.
