  • Patent number: 11203872
Abstract: A traveling step structure is mounted to a warehouse rack to allow convenient access to elevated shelves without blocking shelving corridors. A rack track is mounted to a rack between vertical rack members and a support track is fixed to the surface which supports the rack. The traveling step structure has a first frame mounted with followers to the rack track, and a second frame positioned outwardly from the first frame, and connected to the first frame for movement from a retracted position to an extended position. A plurality of steps extend between the first frame and the second frame and are pivotably mounted to both frames. When a user desires to access an elevated rack shelf, the second frame is pulled outwardly and downwardly to bring the steps into a horizontal position. A damper assembly is mounted between the first frame and a step to cushion extension.

  • Patent number: 10995695
Abstract: A pallet stacker has a pivot frame which is pivotable to receive pallets in a loading position, and then to be released to rotate into an unload position where the pallets are presented in a stacked horizontal arrangement for removal by a lift or crane. A damping assembly moderates the speed of the transition of the pivot frame from the load position to the unload position and has a very small metering orifice which slows the passage of argon gas from one side of a piston head to the other within a cylinder housing when the piston is being extended, and a check valve arrangement which allows ready flow of gas from one side of the piston head to the other when the piston is being returned to the cylinder. The metering orifice and check valve may be entirely interior to the cylinder housing, or may be exterior.

  • Patent number: 9120630
Abstract: A carriage has a pivot frame which receives individual pallets. When full, a latch is released and the frame is pivoted on a base by springs into a position parallel to inclined roller tracks. An operator pushes the carriage along the tracks to an unload station, where a stack of pallets is engaged by ramps leading to elevated roller tracks. Forward movement discharges the stack to the elevated tracks, and the carriage is drawn back to the starting position, where a latch is released to allow the pivot frame to return to its original orientation against the resistance of an air cylinder. A foot latch retains the carriage within the unload station during loading.

  • Patent number: 7849776
Abstract: A case cutter apparatus for cutting a container has a conveyor for moving the container in a single direction, a measuring device measuring a length, a width, and a height of the container, a controller for controlling the apparatus and for receiving information from the measuring device, and a first cutting assembly and a second cutting assembly positioned along the conveyor. The first cutting assembly includes an indexing assembly holding the container in a predetermined position during cutting, a carriage moveable in a cutting direction transverse to the direction of the conveyor, and two cutting blades attached to the carriage. The second cutting assembly includes two belts each having a cleat thereon for pushing the container through the second cutting assembly in the direction of the conveyor, and two cutting blades.

  • Patent number: 5522471
Abstract: A power operated wheeled cart for hauling bulk materials is constructed so that it can be knocked-down into a condition of partial disassembly in a manner such that a base platform can be inverted and used as a structural base for attaching crating members to form a compact modular shipping unit which utilizes a minimum of crating components.
