  • Publication number: 20240144753
Abstract: A contactless delivery locker may have a locker housing with a locker door fitted to the locker housing. A disinfecting system may be arranged to disinfect the locker content and a remotely actuable lock may be arranged to secure the locker door in a closed position and actuable to release the locker door. A controller associated with the lock may be configured to actuate the lock and a wireless interface may be connected to the controller and configured to receive a command to actuate the lock to release the locker door. The controller may operate to control actuation of the lock to release the locker door upon detection of a command to actuate the lock and release the locker door. The controller may be configured to report lock status information to a user to confirm if a locker has been opened after completion of a disinfecting cycle.

  • Publication number: 20060079854
Abstract: A urine collection assembly includes a urine collection device and a urine collection chamber in communication with the urine collection device. The urine collection chamber includes a collection reservoir, an entrance conduit having an inlet to receive urine from the urine collection device and an outlet terminating in the reservoir, an anti-reflux valve, and an exit conduit. The collection reservoir is configured to be wearable in close proximity to a user's body below the waist and above the knees of the user. The collection reservoir holds urine excreted from a user. The exit conduit enables drainage of the collection reservoir. The exit conduit also enables attachment of the collection reservoir to an additional conventional urine collection chamber. The anti-reflex valve is configured to prevent urine from backing up out of the urine collection chamber and into the urine collection device.

  • Patent number: 5713842
Abstract: A thin film wound dressing that is particularly easy to position accurately and apply smoothly to form an occlusive seal comprises three layers: a first wound covering layer being permeable to gases and water vapor while being impermeable to microbes and liquids; a second adhesive layer intimately disposed on the first layer for use in occlusively attaching the invention to skin or wound surfaces; and a third release backing layer disposed on the second adhesive layer. The release backing layer has a functionally contiguous or integral pull-tab attached in a manner that creates a substantially U-shaped release backing/pull-tab assembly. The release backing and pull-tab portions of the assembly are highly flexible while also being highly resistant to elongation to facilitate the smooth and wrinkle-free application of the first and second layers to skin or wound surfaces and formation of an occlusive, microbe and liquid impermeable barrier.
