Abstract: A system and method for implementing workflow in groupware. According to an embodiment of the invention, a groupware application receives one or more communications over a network from a business process server, the one or more communications associated with one or more work items to be performed by a user via the groupware application, the one or more work items associated with a phase of a workflow managed by the business process server, the groupware application receives one or more other communications over the network from the business process server, the one or more other communications including status information associated with one or more other phases of the workflow managed by the business process, and the groupware application provides the status information to the user within the context of the one or more work items to be performed by the user via the groupware application.

Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the invention described herein includes a method and apparatus for providing a seal between at least the outer sidebar and pin bushing of a chain link assembly. The apparatus includes a seal having an outer collar and an inner resilient ring, the outer collar preferably having a mating ridge and the resilient ring being molded onto the collar. This seal also includes outer ribs for providing a sealed contact against the outer sidebar, and may include inner ribs. The seal is part of a chain link assembly positioned between the outer and inner sidebars and surrounding a pin bushing end. A fluid (e.g., grease) may be advantageously placed between the ribs, lubricating the rib-sidebar interface and thereby reducing wear of the ribs.

A computer system includes a user interface linked to a processor arranged to perform instructions in accordance with a business application stored in a memory, the business application including context code portions representing at least one context, the context representing a business situation, service interface code portions defining at least two interfaces between services and the context, each of the interfaces arranged for exchanging data from a parameter of the context and the service associated with the context, and user-interface code portions for outputting at the user interface data representing information about the context.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for avoiding scheduling conflicts in resource reservations and meeting reservations. A method includes receiving personal and/or resource data in a meeting appointment form presented by a system, retrieving current schedules for the received personal and/or resource data residing in back end systems, and generating a warning if the received personal and/or resource data conflicts with the current schedules for requested personal and/or resource data.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for generic contextual floor plans. A computer-implemented method for providing a user interface for running business processes, wherein process data are handled in data objects by one or more service-oriented business applications, including enabling a generalized information architecture for presenting modeled-business situations, including work-roles, process instances, and business object instances for handing the data objects active in the plurality of business processes, enabling an interface generator for directly generating a user interface from the generalized information architecture, and enabling the user interface by the interface generator while identifying a particular instantiated business situation as a business context in the generalized information architecture to which the user interface provides the interface.

Abstract: A method and system to convert project plans into workflow definitions are described. The system includes a project information reader, a workflow metadata converter, a workflow steps converter, and a workflow phases converter. The project information reader is adapted to receive project data associated with a project. The workflow metadata converter is adapted to convert the project header into workflow metadata. The workflow steps converter is adapted to convert the project task into a workflow step. The workflow phases converter is adapted to convert a milestone associated with the project data into a workflow phase. In an event where there are no the milestones associated with the project data, the workflow phases converter creates a workflow phase if it is determined that the workflow process requires a workflow phase. The system further includes a roles module to assign a role to the workflow step.

Abstract: A database management system and method manages a database storing a plurality of entities related to each other by a plurality of relations. A user interface interfaces with the database in a situation. A context modeler models a context representation according to the situation using a semantic net. The semantic net includes a subset of entities that are identified by the context modeler as being relevant to the situation. When the context representation is applied to the database, the database is adapted to operate according to the situation.

Abstract: Systems and techniques to facilitate construction of software applications may use patterns that represent generic processes, objects, user interfaces, and content. In general, in one implementation, the technique includes identifying requirements for a desired application and identifying pattern types corresponding to the identified requirements. The pattern types may be selected from process patterns, user interface patterns, and generic object patterns. Patterns that best match the identified requirements may be selected from a set of available patterns, and the selected patterns may be configured according to the identified requirements to produce an application.

Abstract: A project role generation system includes a role generator. The role generator executes a computer-implemented method for defining one or more roles for a project. The role generator generates a skills list for a project based on a comparison between a skills taxonomy and key words from unstructured text associated with the project. The role generator further generates one or more role templates for the project based on a comparison of at least a portion of the generated skills list and one or more predefined roles, wherein each role template includes one or more skills associated with fulfilling a role.

A method includes providing a single logical physically distributed information system across one or more information systems of at least two enterprises, wherein the enterprises are being combined, and providing a user interface to access the single logical physically distributed information system to execute one or more merger activities of the enterprises, the merger activities comprising a sales-related integration and a management of sales support activities, the sales support activities comprising addressing one or more customer issues for customer retention.

Abstract: The present invention provides compositions comprising a contrast agent capable of reversibly binding to thiol groups of blood-borne proteins. The compositions of the invention provide increased residence time of the contrast agent in the vasculature, thus providing effective blood pool contrast agents. The invention also provides methods for imaging a patient comprising administering a composition of the invention and obtaining an image.

Abstract: Methods and diagnostic compositions are disclosed for enhancing magnetic resonance imaging which utilize a paramagnetic metal cluster. Magnetic resonance contrast media containing Z.sup.+ [Mn.sub.12 X.sub.12 (OYR).sub.16l (L).sub.4 ].sup.-, where OYR is an oxyacid such as benzoic acid, acetic acid, methyl sulphonic acid, methyl phosphonic acid; L is a neutral donor such as water, alcohol, pyridine, or other amines; X is a chalcogen, such as O or S; and Z is a pharmaceutically acceptable counterion are disclosed. Z may also be a paramagnetic counter ion, such as a high spin metal cluster. The paramagnetic cluster may optionally be complexed or conjugated to a carrier compound capable of altering the paramagnetic metal cluster's biodistribution, increasing its selectivity of tumor localization, and amplifying its proton relaxivity.

Abstract: Methods and compositions are disclosed for enhancing .sup.19 F magnetic resonance imaging which utilize .sup.19 F magnetic resonance contrast media having enhanced .sup.19 F relaxivity. Fluorine-containing compounds having enhanced .sup.19 F relaxation properties resulting from direct association with an unpaired spin are disclosed. The fluorine-containing compound is associated with the unpaired spin by covalent attachment of a stable free radical, by complexation of a fluorinated complexing agent with a paramagnetic metal ion, or by salt formation or charge neutralization of a paramagnetic ion.
