  • Apparatus for reproducing coded contour shapes in saw blades

    Abstract: Apparatus is provided herein for accepting a severed end of a saw blade into a clamping and squaring mechanism over a contoured die set. The die set is located immediately below a plunger slidably mounted through a supporting bridge so that force imparted therethrough to the die set causes the contoured shape of the die to be formed in the severed saw blade. The bridge is secured to a base which supports a portion of the die set and a movement limit or stop device is incorporated into the plunger to limit the stroke of the plunger.
