  • Publication number: 20080057276
Abstract: The present invention relates to a decorative panel comprising a decorative layer on one or both surfaces of a carrier layer. In addition to that, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a decorative panel consisting of a carrier layer and a decorative layer. The invention also relates to a method for forming a decorative layer.

  • Publication number: 20080012182
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for deforming a plastic plate comprising a core of resin-treated fibres, wherein the plate is obtained by-compression under elevated pressure and temperature conditions and the plate thus obtained is deformed in a mould (1, 2, 3), characterized in that the plastic plate must have a temperature in the range of (Tg+15 ?C)-(Tg+115 ?C) prior to being deformed in the mould, wherein Tg (?C) is the deformation or glass transition temperature of the plastic plate.

  • Publication number: 20070298229
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rigid laminate comprising two o more bonded-together carrier layers and possibly one or more intermediate layers, wherein the carrier layers comprise PET, and wherein the amount of PET is at leas 75 wt. %, based on the weight of the total laminate. The present invention furthermore relates to a method of producing a rigid laminate comprising a number of bonded-together carrier layers and possibly one or more intermediate layers, which method comprises the following steps: a) providing a carrier layer that comprises PET; b) applying one or more carrier layers that comprise PET and possibly one or more intermediate layers to the carrier layer obtained in step a); c) subjecting the assembly to such conditions of elevated pressure and heat after step b) that the carrier layers and possibly one or more intermediate layers are bonded to ether.

  • Patent number: 6773799
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a decorative mainly isometric thermosetting laminate (1) comprising an isometric core (2), a primary surface layer (10) and optionally a secondary surface layer (20). 85 parts by weight of preferably organic particles are mixed with 15-85 parts by weight of a thermosetting resin such as phenol-formaldehyde resin, melamine-formaldehyde resin, urea-formaldehyde resin or mixtures thereof under powerful kneading in an extruder sot hat friction heat forms. The thermosetting resin is hereby bonded to or impregnating the particles. The particles possibly bonded to one another are parted whereby an agglomerate of resin and particles is formed. The particle/resin mixture is then dried to a water content of below 10%. The dried particle/resin mixture is then evenly distributed and continuously or discontinuously compressed in one or more steps under heat and pressure so that the resin finally cures, whereby an isometric core (2) is formed.
