  • Publication number: 20070181117
Abstract: An anti-jam firing mechanism comprises a front bolt movable between a first position and a second position, in which a crossover point is positioned between the first position and the second position. The front bolt is operative to engage a frangible projectile, such as a paintball, as the front bolt moves from the first position to the second position. A drive mechanism drives the front bolt with either a first force or a second force. The drive mechanism drives the front bolt with the first force when the front bolt travels between the first position and the crossover point. When the front bolt travels between the crossover point and the second position, the drive mechanism drives the front bolt with the second force. Typically, the first force is less than a projectile rupturing force.

  • Publication number: 20070056419
Abstract: Apparatus for working pliable material comprises a body, at least two rotatable shafts coupled to the body, an embossing assembly detachably coupled to an end of at least one of the shafts, and a cutting assembly and/or a creasing assembly being alternatively coupled to the end of the shaft in place of the embossing assembly. In one embodiment, the apparatus is powered by hand via a rotatable handle coupled to at least one of the shafts. The assembly may further comprise an adjustment wheel and an adjustment shaft for accomodating various material types.

  • Publication number: 20070017406
Abstract: A valve arrangement for use in a device for propelling a projectile with compressed gas, such as a paint ball marker, has a body which defines a first space for receiving compressed gas, a second space for receiving compressed gas, a first valve for selectively venting gas from the first space, and a second valve, actuated in response to the venting of gas from the first space, for releasing gas from the second space to propel the projectile. The valve arrangement may be used in various types of devices, including a revolver style apparatus in which one or more of the valve arrangements are placed in chambers of a cylinder. The valve arrangement may also be used in a cartridge or shell arrangement, which may then be loaded into a device adapted to accept and fire such cartridges or shells.

  • Publication number: 20060169268
Abstract: A receiver/grip assembly for a paintball marker includes a first casting formed to include at least a portion of a grip and a portion of a receiver, and a second casting formed to include at least a portion of the grip. The castings are formed to receive, alternatively, a mechanical trigger assembly or an electronic trigger assembly. In one embodiment, the grip and receiver are substantially bisected by the parting line when the first and second castings are joined.
