    Abstract: The present invention defines a tool for lifting bulk materials, boxes and cartons. The tool has a pair of grips actuating a set of jaws which are pivotally linked together. The jaws contain arrays of projections that squeeze against the corner of an object when actuated. The projections are of a design allowing the carton to be secured without damage. The carton, in the secured state, may be lifted and easily manipulated with only one hand.
