  • Patent number: 8095967
Abstract: A secure authentication process detects and prevents phishing and pharming attacks for specific web sites. The process is based on a dedicated secure hardware store for user sign-in credentials, a database of information about specific web sites, and a private secure browser. All user web activity is monitored by an agent program. The agent program checks to make sure that user attempts to send any sign-in credentials stored in secure hardware store of user sign-in credentials, to any web site accessed by the user, is allowed only if the IP address of the web site accessed by the user matches at least one of the IP addresses stored web site database associated with the sign-in credential the user is attempting to send. The process also detects mismatches between a URL and the actual IP address of the web site associated with the URL.

  • Publication number: 20070186277
Abstract: A system and method are provided which allow an online user/client to update one or more sign-on address or secure computing devices or tokens or authentication protocols or algorithms employed by multiple, distinct online sites wherein each site may require a different secure computing devices or tokens or authentication protocols or algorithms wherein the secure computing devices or tokens or authentication protocols or algorithms employed by different online services are provided to a central secure server which then distributes the various received secure computing devices or tokens or authentication protocols or algorithms to the identified users of each online service for updating of the user/client's stored secure computing devices or tokens or authentication protocols or algorithms.

  • Patent number: 6741250
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for defining a view path through at least one wide-angle video stream and for creation of a resultant unwarped video stream responsive to the view path. Aspects of the invention allow an operator to monitor the wide-angle video stream(s) and select which portion of the wide-angle frame to unwarp in real-time. Further, the operator can stop the playback of the wide-angle video stream and dwell within a particular wide-angle frame to create special effects such as camera tilt, pan and zoom operations in a stop action situation.

  • Patent number: 6466254
Abstract: This patent discloses an electronic image distribution apparatus for distributing motion panoramic images. The main portion of the apparatus is a motion panoramic image server that has a source of motion panoramic images. The source of panoramic image frames may be a motion panoramic image playback device or a connection to a motion panoramic camera system. The motion panoramic image server transforms the panoramic image frames into an intermediate format that is more conducive for electronic transmission. In particular, portions of the panoramic image are encoded at a higher quality as compared to other portions of the panoramic image. A client computer obtains information about the encoding and subscribes to one or more tiles depending on the viewpoint of interest. The client computer receives and presents the data in these tiles. In addition, the patent discloses how to adjust the subscription based on the actual and/or predicted pan operations to obtain a quality presentation.

  • Publication number: 20020147991
Abstract: Technology is disclosed that allows an immersive video to be transmitted from a first site to a second site using standard television infrastructure. Each frame of the immersive video is packed into at least one standard television frame. The standard television frame is suitable for transmission using standard television infrastructure. Once the standard television frame is received at the second site, the immersive video frame is reconstructed. The reconstructed immersive video frame can then be transmitted, recorded, viewed, or used to generate a view for transmission or recording.
