  • Publication number: 20210106937
Abstract: Various embodiments of a filter cartridge are disclosed. The filter cartridge includes a first filter media layer having first and second major surfaces, a second filter media layer having first and second major surfaces, and a plenum disposed between the first and second filter media layers. The filter cartridge further includes functional material disposed on the first major surface of each of the first and second filter media layers within a filter region of the filter cartridge, where the functional material includes active particles disposed on an adhesive layer; and a perimeter seal region that defines at least a portion of a perimeter of the filter cartridge, where at least the first and second filter media layers are connected together in the perimeter seal region. The functional material is not disposed in at least a portion of the perimeter seal region.

  • Patent number: 9931592
Abstract: A filtration device including a fluid-impermeable housing having a gas inlet and outlet, and containing within the housing first filter media particles of an extended surface area substrate and containing at least one metal impregnant, and second filter media particles of an extended surface area zirconium hydroxide substrate and zinc (hydr)oxide. The device may be used in atmospheres containing various harmful gases, and may provide particularly useful improvements in NOx breakthrough times compared to a device containing only the first filter media particles or only the second filter media particles.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 9658198
Abstract: A method for identifying and quantitatively analyzing an unknown organic compound in a gaseous medium. More specifically, the method provides a gas sensor array (120a, 120b, 120c, 120d) coupled to a diluting channeling gas inlet (105) with a honeycomb configuration. Each sensor (120a, 120b, 120c, 120d) in the array receives the test gas after successive dilutions. Detected gas are identified by correlating the responses of each sensor with its associated dilution.
