  • Publication number: 20220394064
Abstract: An apparatus includes a transceiver to support a media flow involving a user equipment and an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network that are connected via a media path that traverses a first realm associated with the user equipment, a second realm, and a third realm associated with the IMS network. In some cases, the apparatus includes a processor to establish a first context to perform interworking between the first realm and the second realm in response to an offer message from the user equipment. The processor later de-allocates the first context in response to receiving an answer message indicating that a second context performs interworking between the first realm and the third realm. In other cases, the processor bypasses allocation of a context to perform interworking between the second realm and the third realm in response to an indication that the media flow is anchored on an incoming side.

  • Patent number: 11019154
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for correlating intercept related information (IRI) with call content (CC) for S8HR lawful interception are provided. The method may include generating at a network entity a correlation identifier. The method may also include adding the correlation identifier to a session initiation protocol message. In addition, the method may include delivering the session initiation protocol message including the correlation identifier from the network entity to another network entity.

  • Patent number: 10630834
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the invention generally relate to lawful interception of communications for IP Multimedia System-based (IMS-based) voice over IP (VoIP). For example, some embodiments relate to interception of communications including interception for encrypted, transcoded media. A method may include identifying a network node that provides call content interception. The method may also include determining a codec type used at a location of the call content interception at the network node. The method may further include sending a matched codec of the codec type used at the location of the call content interception at the network node to a delivery function in the communications network.

  • Publication number: 20090207862
Abstract: In a method for controlling the operations of modules that are interconnected through interconnections in which high-speed signals operate at high-bit rates, a low-frequency signal is placed on at least one of the interconnections. From the low-frequency signal operational information on the modules is retrieved.

  • Patent number: 7496088
Abstract: A method for establishing a call in a telecommunications network that has first and second packet network sections, a wide area packet network, and a TDM transit network section. Subscribers'terminal equipment is addressable by directory numbers, and calls to subscribers are always routed through the TDM transit network. During TDM call setup at least one message or information element is conveyed to the second packet network section which is indicative of the first terminal equipment's packet capabilities and/or an address of a first controlling device controlling the call in the first packet network section. The message or information element is received at a second controlling device controlling the call in the second packet network section. Using the information extracted from the message or information element a second connection between the first and second terminal equipment through the wide area packet network is established by the controlling devices.

  • Publication number: 20070274306
Abstract: The present inventions relates to a method for establishing a call in a telecommunications network (100), the telecommunications network (100) comprising first and packet network sections (110, 120), a wide area packet network (130), and a TDM transit network section (140). Subscribers' terminal equipment (112, 122) is addressable by directory numbers, and calls to subscribers are always routed through the TDM transit network (140). During TDM call setup at least one message or information element is conveyed to the second packet network section, the at least one message or information element being indicative of the first terminal equipment's packet capabilities and/or an address of a first controlling device (116, 114A) controlling the call in the first packet network section (110). In the second packet network section (120), said message or information element is received at a second controlling device (126, 124A) controlling the call in the second packet network section (120).
