  • Patent number: 10469708
Abstract: Systems and methods for enhancing an image for printing include identifying a plurality of true edge positions in a scanned digital image, generating an edge restoration signal based on image data at the plurality of true edge positions, generating a boost value for each pixel position in the image as a function of the edge restoration signal and an unsharp masking of the image, and generating an enhanced image. A system may include a print interface, an image interface receiving a digital image without an explicit K component, and an image processing module that computes a halftone energy measure, an edge strength, and a colorfulness measure, generate a K component based on the halftone energy measure, the edge strength, and the colorfulness measure, and output data representing the image and a K component to the print engine.

  • Publication number: 20070195113
Abstract: A method of rotating a digital image includes performing a first pass to process a selected image tile of a source image. The first pass includes copying a set of pixels of the selected image tile from a first memory to a processor memory, where the set of pixels comprises a portion of the selected image tile. The first pass further includes grouping the set of pixels into blocks of pixels and writing each of the blocks of pixels to a memory location. The method further includes repeating the first pass until each of the pixels of the selected image tile is processed, performing a second pass to process the blocks of pixels, and repeating the second pass until each of the blocks of pixels is processed. The second pass includes copying blocks of pixels, regrouping the blocks of pixels, and writing the regrouped pixels to a destination image location.

  • Publication number: 20050232255
Abstract: In one form of the invention, there is provided a general purpose ASIC comprising: a plurality of functional units each having a plurality of connections; a plurality of pins; and an interface for connecting selected connections of selected functional units to selected pins. In another form of the invention, there is provided a method for configuring a general purpose ASIC comprising: providing a general purpose ASIC comprising: a plurality of functional units each having a plurality of connections; a plurality of pins; and an interface for connecting selected connections of selected functional units to selected pins; and configuring said interface so as to connect selected connections of selected functional units to selected pins.

  • Patent number: 5712697
Abstract: A Pliable Sun Shield Accessory for Eyeglasses includes a pliable elongated tubular member which is formed with a longitudinal slit. This slit allows the elongated tubular member to be splayed apart for positioning over the top portion of a pair of eyeglasses. An elongated pliable sealing shield is longitudinally mounted on the outer surface of the tubular member. The sealing shield has a mating surface which, when the tubular member is mounted on the eyeglasses, extends towards the eyeglass wearer's forehead. This mating surface is slightly curved which, in combination with its pliable nature, allows the sealing shield to conform snugly to the wearer's forehead. Thus, a pair of eyeglasses equipped with the Pliable Sun Shield Accessory for Eyeglasses prevents light, or other foreign objects, from passing between the wearer's forehead and glasses.
