    Abstract: This invention provides the novel application of securing a low friction polymer, such as, for example, UHMWPE as the exemplary embodiment, with a coefficient of friction of less than about 0.15, which has adjustable margins for length, height, and width, on the bottom of a skateboard, between the bottom of the skateboard and the wheels with the purpose of mitigating the problem of wheel bite in skateboarding. This piece may have a flat or shaped, concave surface, and can be attached to the skateboard with an adhesive, by embedding the material in the skateboard, or by other known methods.
