    Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for more secure card transactions. The security is generated by the use of a dynamic transaction number which is valid for only a single predetermined time interval. The transaction number is generated through a two step process. In a first step, time is used as an input to a transaction number function. The transaction number function outputs a plurality of digits. The second step uses the plurality digits for input and uses a ruleset to strip at least one digit to determine the transaction number valid for the predetermined time interval.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for transmitting more data on the same bandwidth as current wireless and wired schemes use. A method for transmitting data can use orthogonal frequency domain multiplexing by identifying a lowest frequency subcarrier in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing bandwidth that includes 64 subcarriers. The method can include receiving the second, fourth, eighth, sixteenth, thirty-second, and sixty-fourth subcarriers using a bandpass filter and decoding the set of orthogonal functions for each of the second, fourth, eighth, sixteenth, thirty-second, and sixty-fourth subcarriers. The method can further include combining the decoded data to recover the transmitted data.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for creating one or more passwords, each in compliance with website or file requirements, from a single password containing only letters. Several parameters, including the total number of characters, any type of required character, including capital letters, digits, and special characters, and the number of each type of required character are entered in to a cipher algorithm. The cipher algorithm creates a set of possible characters from the letters of the alphabet, digits, and any special characters. According to the ruleset for the character position, the available characters from the set are made available for assignment for a predetermined period, and assigned by keystroke.

Control information is added to the sinusoidal wave by routing the wave through a phase inversion circuit a predetermined intervals according to a protocol. The resulting control signal is sent on a power line. The control signal is received using a crystal filter, decoded and converted to executable instructions for controlling a fan motor.

The system and method include a number of checks to ensure that the file is being opened on the local machine where it was created. The checks may include a comparison to a CPUID of the machine on which the file is being opened to a CPUID stored in a script when the file was created. The checks may also include a review of a plurality of memory locations in search of artifacts indicating that the file is being opened on a virtual machine. A server may also check that any messages send from the local machine do not pass through an intermediate server.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a sensor and method for detecting one or more gasses in a sample. The sensor includes two sample tube sections, which allow for a larger sample, and correspondingly, more accurate measurement. Having two sample tube sections increases the total length of the sample path. However, placing the sample tube sections in parallel allows for the performance of the sensor to be enhanced, but the footprint of the sensor to remain unchanged. Light pipe material may be used to transport the light between sample tube sections. Further, light pipe material may be used to move the IR lamp away from the first filter tube section, reducing problems in the thermopile by dissipating heat from the IR lamp away from the sample tube section.

In mode one, the system operates on an open loop architecture with a controller generating a sinusoidal wave using a crystal oscillator. Control information is added to the sinusoidal wave by alternating the output of two phase shifted waves which have the same frequency and amplitude to form a control signal. The resulting control signal is sent on a power line. The control signal is received using a crystal filter, decoded and converted to executable instructions for the devices and data parameters for sensors. In mode two, the system operates on a hybrid open loop/closed loop architecture where devices are jointly controlled by the controller and the sensors.
