  • Patent number: 7654039
Abstract: A method for controlling a closure drive system of a motor vehicle utilizes a control device that includes a pinch protection circuit. A supply voltage across the control device is measured, and depending on the supply voltage, a differentiation is made as to whether the pinch protection circuit is operated with pinch protection parameters for a stationary vehicle or a moving vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7482773
Abstract: A closing and opening system of a vehicle comprises a control device of an anti-pinch protection arrangement, where the control device is coupled with a drive of the closing and opening system. The control device has an input for at least one signal based on a variable, vehicle-sensitive data value. The control device is configured such that the control device determines a situation-specific anti-pinch protection parameter depending on the signal and addresses the drive in a situation-specific manner on the basis of the situation-specific anti-pinch protection parameter.

  • Publication number: 20080129088
Abstract: A sliding roof system includes at least one guide rail, a cover that is displaceable relative to the guide rail, and a wind deflector that can be displaced between a lowered and a deployed position. At least two actuating elements act on the wind deflector in order to press the wind deflector out of the deployed position into the lowered position. An offset V is provided such that the sliding roof system is able to have one of the actuating elements act on the wind deflector while the other actuating element remains spaced apart from the wind deflector.

  • Patent number: 7048329
Abstract: A wind deflector system for a sunroof system includes a wind deflector that is adjustable between a lowered position and an extended position, and a pinch protection element. The wind deflector is adjustable between a lowered and an extended position. The pinch protection element is mounted to the wind deflector and extends downward from the wind deflector as a protection feature to prevent fingers from being pinched.

  • Publication number: 20050184562
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling movement of a cover of an openable vehicle roof utilizes a control device and a plurality of sensors. A presence of a roof structure, such as a roof rack, is detected by the plurality of sensors. Once the presence of a roof rack is detected, raising movement of the cover or traveling movement of the cover across a stationary rear roof region is prevented.
