  • Patent number: 10183796
Abstract: A bag has front and back face panels having upright longitudinally extending side edges and transversely extending upper and lower edges. First and second gusset panels each have transversely extending upper and lower edges and upright longitudinal outer edges connected to the longitudinal edges of the face panels. A reclosable fastener strip extends continuously and transversely along the first gusset panel and inward along each of the face panels from the first gusset panel along part of a transverse width of the face panels. Thus opening of the fastener and folding out of the first gusset panel forms a spout on the bag. A separate generally rectangular floor panel is joined at its outer edge by thermal welds to the lower edges of the face panels and of the gusset panels.

  • Publication number: 20170334608
Abstract: A longitudinal method for producing a side-gusseted bag includes providing an incision extending in a transverse direction in a bag film for each side-gusseted bag in such a way that, in the case of a subsequently formed side-gusseted tube, the incision extends over both side gussets and a first front wall that is situated between the side gussets. Proceeding from the incision, the first front wall, together with the corresponding parts of the side gussets, is folded back, on which a separate film section is placed and fastened in the folded-open region. The folded-over section is folded back in such a way that all connecting seams of the separate film section extend in parallel to each other in the transverse direction.

  • Patent number: 9758279
Abstract: The invention relates to a flat-lying side-gusset bag made of a plastic fabric composite (2) and to a method for the production thereof. The side-gusset bag has opposing front walls (3a, 3b), side gussets (4a, 4b) introduced in between said front walls (3a, 3b), and folding edges (5) between the front walls (3a, 3b) and the side gussets (4a, 4b). Peripheral sections of the plastic fabric composite (2) are connected together in an overlapping region (10) at a longitudinal seam, wherein the plastic fabric composite (2) has a plastic fabric (7) and at least one closed plastic layer. The side gussets (5) extend, in the case of the flat-lying side-gusset bag, in each case over at most ? of the width of the front walls. According to the invention, the overlapping region (10) is arranged off-center on one of the front walls (3a, 3b) at least partially over one of the side gussets (4a, 4b) or at one of the side gussets (4a, 4b).

  • Publication number: 20110077139
Abstract: Foil bags each having V-shaped inset side gussets offset from the upper edge and a resealable closure in an upper opening are made by first stamping notches out of the longitudinal edges of a first foil strip is provided having stamped-out edge notches. Then side gussets are formed on the edges between the notches, and resealable closure strips are mounted on the foil strip sealing the upper edges of the side gussets. A second flat foil strip is set on the side gussets and closure strips of the first foil strip and bonded to the edges of the gussets of the first foil strip to form a gusseted tube. Further welds form the tube into a sectioned strand from which foil bags can be separated.

  • Publication number: 20100226598
Abstract: A film bag has a multi-layered film whose outer layer forms and outer side of the film bag and whose inner layer forms the inner side of the film bag. The bag further has two oppositely directed face panels on which weld seams are disposed laterally and having a linear tearing aid which is disposed in the face panels in the region of the top of the film bag and which has three weakening lines spaced apart from one another. The two outer weakening lines begin at a distance A from a lateral edge of the face panels, and the middle weakening line begins directly at the lateral edge of the face panels and merely extends along a part of the tearing aid.
