    Abstract: A device for tensioning, and facilitating removal and replacement of, the drive belt of an oilfield pumpjack. The device utilizes a regulated air supply, and includes an air driven actuator, namely an air bag, interposed between a base and a frame supporting an idler wheel and pivotally connected to the base, whereby providing air to the air actuator causes the frame to pivot relative to the base so as to the bring the idler wheel into belt-tensioning contact with the pumpjack belt. Evacuating air from the air actuator permits the idler wheel to move away from, and thus slacken, the belt, permitting removal and replacement of the belt.
