  • Patent number: 11912933
Abstract: The invention provides a suspension modifier directly added into fracturing fluid for real-time proppant modification during fracturing and the application thereof, relating to the field of oil and gas production technologies. The suspension modifier is a controlled release nanoemulsion and comprises surface hydrophobic modifier, surfactant, cosurfactant and water. The suspension modifier is directly added into clear-water or active-water fracturing fluid while the proppant is added into water. After stirring, the suspension modifier is capable of self-assembling and being adsorbed on the proppant surface, so that the proppant surface becomes hydrophobic and aerophilic. The invention no longer requires the proppant to be pretreated, and the bubble-suspended proppant can be obtained directly by adding the suspension modifier to the clear-water or active-water fracturing fluid, and meanwhile adding the proppant to the fracturing fluid.

  • Publication number: 20040125877
Abstract: The present invention discloses systems and methods for automatically parsing digital video content into segments corresponding to fundamental semantic units, events, and camera views, and streaming parsed digital video content to users for display and browsing. The systems and methods effectively use the domain-specific knowledge such as regular structures of fundamental semantic units, unique views corresponding to the units, and the predictable state transition rules. The systems and methods also include scene change detection, video text recognition, and view recognition. The results of parsing may be used in a personal video browsing/navigation interface system. Furthermore, a novel adaptive streaming method in which quality levels of video segments are varied dynamically according to the user preference of different segments is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20040128511
Abstract: Techniques for signing multimedia content and verifying received multimedia content that are both robust and accurate are provided. Invariant features are extracted from multimedia content, and certain attributes are computed. Multimedia content is quantized, and extracted invariant features and quantized original multimedia content are encrypted to form a digital signature. The multimedia content and digital signature may be verified even after the introduction of distortions by using content registration. In a preferred embodiment, a refined authentication technique is used to obtain a continuous distance measure, to verify the authenticity of multimedia content based on a pre-defined threshold.
