  • Patent number: 7008915
Abstract: Process for reducing the density of solid detergent ingredients by forming said ingredients into hollow-core particles. The density of ingredients such as sodium citrate, sodium carbonate and/or sodium silicate, when formed into such hollow-core particles, allows them to be stably incorporated into non-aqueous liquid laundry detergents.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 17, 2002
Date of Patent: March 7, 2006
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Co.
Inventors: Yousef Georges Aouad, Christopher John Lienhart, Diane Parry
  • Patent number: 6682723
Abstract: A paint containing a surfactant system capable of structuring a non-aqueous liquid composition, wherein the surfactant system comprises at least about 5% of a structuring particle. The surfactant system preferably further comprises a surfactant selected from the group consisting of anionic, nonionic, cationic, amphoteric surfactants and mixtures thereof. A well dispersed mixture of a non-aqueous liquid, for example, a nonionic surfactant, and at least about 25%, by weight of the surfactant system results in the mixture having a yield of at least about 2.0 Pa when measured at 20 sec−1 and 25° C. Moreover, the surfactant system should exhibit a peak when measured by SAXS x-ray diffraction, wherein the peak's center is between about the 1.5 to 2.5 v positions on the 2 theta axis. The structuring particles are most preferably structuring particles of sulfate and linear alkyl benzene sulfonate.

  • Patent number: 6576602
Abstract: Disclosed are nonaqueous, particulate-containing liquid laundry detergent compositions which are in the form of a suspension of particulate material, preferably including peroxygen bleaching agent and an organic detergent builder, dispersed in a liquid phase structured with alkylbenzene sulfonate anionic surfactant-containing powder. Such compositions provide especially desirable cleaning and bleaching of fabrics laundered therewith and also exhibit especially desirable pourability and chemical and phase stability.

  • Publication number: 20020077265
Abstract: Laundry articles for care of fabrics or combined cleaning and care of fabrics and methods of use of such articles. Multi-compartment containers combined with selected fabric laundering compositions that comprise selected care agents in different compartments or a selected cleaning agent in one compartment and a selected care agent in another compartment. On combining the compositions from the multi-compartment containers, preferred articles provide heavy duty liquid laundry detergents having fabric care benefits.

  • Patent number: 6384008
Abstract: Non-aqueous, particulate-containing heavy duty liquid laundry detergent compositions that are in the form of a stable suspension of particulate material, essentially including from about 0.1% to about 10%, by weight of the detergent composition of an ethoxylated quaternized amine clay material. These compositions preferably include a peroxygen bleaching agent and an organic detergent builder, dispersed in a liquid phase preferably structured with a surfactant. Such compositions provide especially desirable cleaning and bleaching of fabrics laundered therewith and also exhibit especially desirable aesthetics.
