Patent number: 9351437Abstract: A tool bar apparatus has an elongate tool bar having a longitudinal tool bar axis, and ground engaging tools fixed thereto. Wheels are rotatably fixed to the tool bar and roll about a rotational axis parallel to the tool bar. A hitch frame is pivotally attached at a rear end thereof to the tool bar about a hitch pivot axis parallel to the tool bar axis, and has a hitch tongue at a front end thereof. An actuator pivots the tool bar about the hitch pivot axis from an operating position, where the ground engaging tools extend rearward, to a transport position where the ground engaging tools extend upward from the tool bar. The wheels move rearward under the tool bar when the tool bar pivots from the operating position to the transport position such that a downward force is exerted on the hitch tongue when in the transport position.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2013Date of Patent: May 31, 2016Assignee: Pillar Lasers Inc.Inventors: Dick Edward Friesen, John Martens

Patent number: 8245852Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a pre-filter assembly for use with a pump. The assembly includes a housing having an intake channel and an outlet channel. The intake channel includes an intake flange around a first circumference and a ribbed surface to facilitate sealing. The outlet channel includes a bottom portion and an outlet flange around a second circumference. The intake flange and the outlet flange are on opposite sides of the housing. The assembly also includes a basket positioned in the housing. The basket has a bottom side and is positioned above the bottom portion of the outlet channel to form a chamber. The basket is positioned in closer proximity to the intake channel than to the outlet channel. In addition, the assembly includes a securing device with a lid having ridges and a clear top to permit the user to view the contents of the basket. The securing device also includes a locking ring with slots and openings to permit the user to view the contents of the basket.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2010Date of Patent: August 21, 2012Assignee: Pentair Water Pool and Spa, Inc.Inventors: JoAnne B. Sloan, Rajaiah Chinthanippula, Douglas L. Stout, Dick Edwards

Patent number: 7685950Abstract: A furrow opener device includes a disc arranged to open a primary furrow in the ground. A scraper body has a leading scraper edge supported alongside the disc to scrape the disc. A wing member is supported on a bottom portion of the scraper body in proximity to a bottom end of the disc and extends laterally outwardly away from the disc so as to be arranged to open a groove in the primary furrow projecting laterally to one side of the primary furrow, and a tube extends generally downward to an output opening located adjacent the wing member and is arranged for depositing product into the groove. A packer wheel is arranged in a first configuration where depth of disc penetration is gauged by a gauge wheel adjacent to the furrow opener and in a second configuration in which depth is gauged by the packer wheel.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2008Date of Patent: March 30, 2010Inventor: Dick Edward Friesen
