  • Publication number: 20230192312
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of guiding the pilot of an aircraft for the alignment maneuver, including: determining at a first instant an occurrence close to the alignment maneuver and triggering the display of a first symbol on the screen; updating the position of the first symbol on the horizon according to the updated value of the aircraft heading; when the alignment maneuver is to begin, moving a second symbol on the screen from the position of the first symbol, the direction of the displacement with respect to the horizon being determined depending on the direction of the crosswind with respect to the runway and the value of the displacement being determined depending on the difference between the current dynamic sideslip of the aircraft and a current dynamic sideslip setpoint value calculated for the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 10854094
Abstract: A method is provided for adjusting a flight plan rejoining trajectory of an aircraft, the method being implemented in a flight management system of the aircraft. In a first step, the rejoining trajectory comprises a guidance setpoint holding point to be reached situated in the extension of a guidance setpoint, and set manually or automatically, the guidance setpoint no longer being necessarily maintained when this setpoint holding point is passed. This first step can be preceded by a step of rejoining a guidance setpoint or a step of searching for the intersection of the current guidance setpoint trajectory with a segment of the flight plan.

  • Patent number: 10249097
Abstract: A method for managing a symbology in an on-board viewing system for an aircraft, the graphical representation comprising the piloting and navigation symbology overlaid on a representation of the exterior landscape, the symbology comprises a first angular attitude scale comprising a first symbol called an aircraft mockup, a second speed scale, a third altitude scale and a second symbol called the speed vector. When the angular lateral distance between the position of the first symbol and the position of the second symbol is such that the second symbol is not overlaid on the lateral scales, the various scales are represented in the nominal position; when the angular lateral distance between the position of the first symbol and the position of the second symbol is such that the second symbol is overlaid on one of the scales, the various scales move and/or their size decreases.

  • Patent number: 10036651
Abstract: This electronic device for aiding with the piloting of an aircraft includes: an acquisition module, configured to acquire a current value of the roll angle of the aircraft; a computing module configured to compute a roll angle limit corresponding to a beginning of stalling of the aircraft; and a display module, configured to display, on a screen, a first symbol indicating a current orientation of the aircraft. The computing module is configured to compute at least one roll margin, each roll margin depending on a corresponding roll angle limit and the current value of the roll angle, and the display module is configured, when the display condition is verified, to display, on the screen, at least one second symbol positioned relative to the first symbol, the deviation between each second symbol and the first symbol representing a respective roll margin.

  • Patent number: 9719793
Abstract: The general field of the invention is that of synthetic vision systems for a vehicle, said vehicle having a particular navigation direction. The system in accordance with the invention includes at least: a cartographic database representative of the terrain travelled over by the vehicle, means for geolocation of said vehicle, electronic means for computing a representation of the principal parameters of said vehicle; graphic generator means for generating a three-dimensional synthetic representation of said terrain; and a display device displaying said three-dimensional synthetic representation in a particular field of view (FOV) and in a particular display direction, means for modifying the display direction to a direction different from the particular navigation direction of the vehicle, said modification means being manual or automatic, the display direction then being a function of a piloting or navigation parameter.

  • Publication number: 20160133136
Abstract: The general field of the invention is that of methods of representing a cartographic image in a geolocated synthetic vision system for vehicles, said system including a cartographic database, geolocation means, graphic generation means enabling generation of a two-dimensional or three-dimensional synthetic view of said terrain, and a display device. In the method in accordance with the invention, the angular position of each point of the synthetic view is known with an angular error depending on the distance of said vehicle and the accuracy of geolocation of said vehicle, if said angular error is less than or equal to a predetermined angular tolerance, the point is represented in a standard representation mode and if said angular error is greater than a predetermined angular tolerance, the point is represented in an uncertainty representation mode different from the standard representation mode. The applications are preferably aeronautical.
