  • Patent number: 11612615
Abstract: The present disclosure generally pertains to methods of treating myocardial infarct involving administering a platelet anti-aggregate, a cysteine-aspartic protease inhibitor, and reperfusion therapy. In certain embodiments, the platelet anti-aggregate is at least one P2Y12 receptor antagonist or Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitor, the cysteine-aspartic protease inhibitor is selected from the group consisting of Caspase-1, 4, 5, 11 and 12 inhibitors, and reperfusion therapy is percutaneous coronary intervention. In certain embodiments, the at least one P2Y12 receptor antagonist is selected from the group consisting of cangrelor, ticagrelor, clopidogrel and prasugrel. The disclosed methods provide an improved cardioprotective effect against infarction when compared with the current standard of care.

  • Publication number: 20220373069
Abstract: A torque converter, including: a cover arranged to receive torque; an impeller and a turbine. The impeller includes an impeller shell non-rotatably connected to the cover and a plurality of impeller blades. The impeller shell includes an interior surface, and defines a plurality of first indentations in the interior surface. Each impeller blade in the plurality of impeller blades including a first tab disposed in a respective first indentation. The turbine is in fluid communication with the impeller and includes a turbine shell and turbine blades fixedly connected to the turbine shell. The first tab is fixedly secured to the impeller shell by a respective first portion of a material forming the impeller shell; or a respective first portion of a material forming the impeller shell contacts the first tab and overlaps the first tab in a first axial direction parallel to an axis of rotation of the torque converter.

  • Patent number: 8868171
Abstract: System for reconstruction and visualization of cardiac electric activity, with high-resolution capabilities, which improves the performance of current systems by means of the inclusion of the a priori information of the bioelectric problem in a learning algorithm, and by means of the exploitation of the spatial and temporal correlations thanks to interpolation and decimation subsystems. The system consists of, at least: a plurality of catheters; ways for obtaining the location coordinates of said array; ways for obtaining the cardiac walls geometry; ways for processing the signals from the catheters, implementing an algorithm based on Support Vector Machines, allowing the incorporation of the bioelectric phenomena; ways of interpolation and redundance exploiting for yielding high resolution without matrix inversions; and ways of visualization.

  • Publication number: 20110224526
Abstract: System and method for the reconstruction of cardiac electrical activation from cardiac electrical signals recorded by intracardiac catheters. The obtained signals are processed using a Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm to solve the dual signal problem. Visualization of the solution includes geometric information in such a way that the cardiac electrical activity can be identified and localized. The system and method are described as a preferential application for anti-arrhythmic therapies.
