The bottom portions are designed exclusively for the current supply of the neighboring module of a line of modules by spring contacts which pass through the bottom portions from lineup side to lineup side. These modules are in contact connection from bottom portion to bottom portion via the spring contacts, while all elements of the circuit are associated with the top portions for the control of the machines, subassemblies, and the like that are connected with the modules.

Abstract: A hollow generally tubular female electrical connector is formed from a sheet metal blank to define a body member having a rectangular cross-sectional configuration including opposed pairs of side walls, characterized by the formation of two pairs of opposed inwardly-extending contact tongues that are arranged in longitudinally spaced relation for successive engagement by a male connector, whereby two different longitudinally-spaced contact planes are provided to afford reliable safe electrical contact with the male connector. Preferably, the contact tongues of one pair are formed from body side walls that are orthogonally arranged relative to the side walls from which the other pair of contact tongues are formed, whereby the pairs of contact tongues are arranged at 90.degree. relative to each other.

Abstract: A dual flat-spring electrical contact includes a contact receptacle which contains a separation gap and on which spring prongs protrude on one side while the cable connector protrudes on the other side. The contact receptacle is rigidly locked against expansion, as in the area of the separating gap, during insertion of a contact pin between the prongs because on a receptacle wall, in the area of the separating gap, there protrudes a T-shaped cover plate for which there is provided a holding recess which adjoins an adjacent contact receptacle wall.
