Abstract: A liquid formulation of cinidon-ethyl, i.e., ethyl (Z)-2-chloro-3-[2-chloro-5 -(4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1,3-dioxoisoindoledion-2-yl)phenyl] acrylate comprising, essentially, in addition to the above crop protection agent, a) an ionic emulsifier, b) a non-ionic emulsifier, c) a non-nucleophilic and non-basic aromatic solvent and, d) if desired, a further herbicidal crop protection agent, and a method of controlling undesirable vegetation using this formulation.

Abstract: Agents for the abscission of parts of plants contain one or more urea derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## where A is ##STR2## B is cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl or phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by one, two or three chlorine, bromine or fluorine atoms, R is hydrogen or methyl, R.sup.1 is fluorine, chlorine or, bromine and n is the integer 1, 2 or 3, and either(a) an oxyethylated tallow fatty amine of the general formula II ##STR3## where R.sup.2 is C.sub.16 -C.sub.18 -n-alkyl or isoalkyl and x and y together are an integer from 8 to 20, or(b) a fatty alcohol of the general formula IIIR.sup.3 --CH.sub.2 O--(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.w --(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.z --H IIIwhere R.sup.3 is C.sub.10 -C.sub.18 -n-alkyl, w is an integer from 3 to 7 and z is an integer from 0 to 7,the weight ratio of urea derivative I to oxyethylated tallow fatty amine II or fatty alcohol III being from 0.01:1 to 10:1.

Abstract: Photopolymer relief plates are produced by applying a photopolymerizable relief-forming layer R, which contains a thermal polymerization inhibitor liberating nitrosyl free radicals on ultraviolet irradiation, to a dimensionally stable base which bears an adhesive layer A for the layer R, the layer A containing 0.01 to 10 percent by weight of a compound ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are identical or different and each is alkyl or R.sup.5 --(O-alkylene).sub.x --, R.sup.5 being H or alkyl and x being 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, and then exposing, and developing, the layer R in a conventional manner.

Abstract: Herbicides based on an aqueous suspension of from 20 to 50 percent by weight of 1-phenyl-4-amino-5-chloro-pyridaz-6-one or 1-phenyl-4-amino-5-bromo-pyridaz-6-one, from 2 to 10 percent by weight of dispersant, from 0.5 to 5 percent by weight of silica and from 0.5 to 5 percent by weight of a block polymer of propylene glycol, propylene oxide and ethylene oxide, which additionally contain a thiolcarbamate, a chloroacetanilide or a 2,6-dinitroaniline, the weight ratio of pyridazone to thiolcarbamate, chloroacetanilide or 2,6-dinitroaniline being from 4:1 to 1:2, a process for their preparation, and their use for combating undesired plant growth.

Abstract: Photopolymerizable compositions for the production of printing plates and relief plates, consisting essentially of a photoinitiator-containing mixture of olefinically unsaturated photopolymerizable compounds with polymeric binders, contain up to 1% by weight of a compound having the structural element of anthrone, e.g. bianthrone and 9,9'-bianthryl, which results in an improved relief image in the production of relief plates.
