Abstract: Magenta dye images with excellent stability to light are obtained with a color photographic recording material which contains, associated with a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one magenta coupler corresponding to formula I and at least one compound corresponding to formula II.

Abstract: Imino derivatives of 4-halogen-pyrazolone-5 (formula I) are valuable intermediate products for the preparation of 7-halogen-pyrazolo[3,2-c]-s-triazole magenta couplers. ##STR1## In formula I, X denotes chlorine or bromine,R.sup.1 denotes H, alkyl with 1 to 18 carbon atoms, preferably 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group;R.sup.2 denotes H, NH.sub.2 or NJ-CO-R.sup.3, andR.sup.3 denotes alkyl with 1 to 18 carbon atoms, aralkyl, aryl, a heterocyclic group or COOH.

Abstract: New 2-equivalent yellow couplers of the structure ##STR1## in which X represents a ring member selected from N and C; Y completes a 5-, 6- or 7-membered nitrogen-containing ring; R represents alkyl, aryl, alkoxy or heterocyclic ring; and A represent a yellow coupler radical provide high maximum color densities together with low fog on storage under humid conditions.

Abstract: .alpha.-Acylacetanilide yellow-forming couplers having a cyclic 5- or 6-membered sulfonamide group attached through its nitrogen atom to the phenyl group of the anilide portion of the molecule provide dyes of better light stability. The couplers include both 2-equivalent and 4-equivalent couplers.

Abstract: Desirable 2-equivalent yellow couplers carry at the coupling position a monocyclic pyrrole, diazole or triazole ring attached to the coupling position of the yellow coupler by a nitrogen atom, which ring can be split off in the coupling reaction.Photographic 2-equivalent yellow couplers with nitrogen-containing heterocyclic splittable groups having such nitrogen bonded to the coupling position of the couplers, are prepared by reacting a corresponding 2-equivalent yellow coupler containing a halogen such as chlorine in the coupling position with the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound that supplies the splittable group, in the presence of base and in the further presence of hexamethylphosphoric acid triamide as solvent.

Abstract: A light-sensitive color photographic material containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer and a 2-equivalent yellow coupler which carries at the coupling position a 5-membered heterocyclic ring with at least one nitrogen atom which nitrogen atom is attached to the coupling position of the yellow coupler and which ring has in the position adjacent to the said nitrogen atom an ethylenic double bond which forms part of an olefinically unsaturated or of an aromatic 5-membered heterocyclic ring, which ring can be split off in the coupling reaction. The new 2-equivalent yellow couplers are easy to prepare, highly reactive and photographically substantially inert.
