  • Publication number: 20220032420
Abstract: An abrasive cutter for cutting a rail of a track includes a drive for driving a cutting disc holder in rotation. A cutting disc is attached to the cutting disc holder with at least one clamping element. The drive is directly coupled to the cutting disc holder and has a maximum transverse extent which is at most equal to a diameter of at least one clamping element. The drive has an electric drive motor with a power density PSpez?0.5 kW/kg. The abrasive cutter allows a reliable, efficient, user-friendly and low-maintenance through-cutting of a rail of a track.

  • Publication number: 20210180264
Abstract: A processing machine for processing a rail track has a power supply unit for providing power and a processing unit which is able to be operated by the power provided by the power supply unit. The power supply unit and the processing unit are configured so as to be separate from one another. On account thereof, the processing unit is able to be operated in a spatially separated manner from the power supply unit, on account of which a user-friendly, flexible and safe processing of the rail track is enabled.

  • Patent number: 9876306
Abstract: A method for producing a modular electrical connector assembly for a vehicle control unit, the connector assembly having a module carrier and at least two connector modules disposed side-by-side on the carrier. Each connector module has a connector housing collar and a plurality of contact elements disposed in a contact area within the connector housing collar. First, one of the connector modules is placed in an opening in the module carrier and positioned precisely relative to the module carrier. The connector module is pressed with a hold-down device against the module carrier retained in a holding device. In this state, the connector module is laser-welded to the carrier in an attachment region with a laser beam. Laser welding permits a reliably stable and fluid-tight, material-locking connection between the components, and an advantageous, space-saving placement of the attachment region laterally within the collar, with higher manufacturing precision and small manufacturing tolerances.

  • Patent number: 9312616
Abstract: A plug connector set-up for a control unit includes: a pin support having a pin; and a guide element having a lead-through for positioning the pin at a circuit board of the control unit. The lead-through has an entrance opening on the side facing the pin support and an outlet opening on the side facing away from the pin support. A diameter of the entrance opening is greater than a diameter of the outlet opening. Each of the connector modules has a connector housing collar, as well as a plurality of contact elements which are disposed in a contact area within the connector housing collar. The connector module is then pressed with the aid of a hold-down device, for example, against the module carrier retained in a holding device, for instance. In this state, the connector module is laser-welded to the module carrier in an attachment region with the aid of a laser beam.

  • Patent number: 5810040
Abstract: A container for storing in particular water-endangering liquids has an inner wall and an outer wall spaced therefrom. In the lower area of the container is connected a pipeline forming a lower outlet and which is formed by an inner pipe and an outer pipe surrounding it. At the inner pipe end remote from the container is positioned a shutoff fitting and the outer pipe issues into a protective casing tightly surrounding the shutoff fitting. The gaps between the two walls and between the two pipes, as well as the inner space of the protective casing are monitored for a possible leak. So that when liquid is removed its unintentional escape in the case of damage can be reliably avoided, from the shutoff fitting a further extending pipeline extends outwards in sealed manner through the protective casing.

  • Patent number: 5597426
Abstract: The tires for vehicles possess under their tread a belt which extends in the circumferential direction. At least one, preferentially two, layers contain, as strengthening and stabilizing means, foils or sheets with direction-dependent rigidity, which possesses its highest value in a preferred direction. The foils or sheets are so arranged that the preferred direction is oblique to the circumferential direction. Preferentially, the direction-dependent rigidity is realized with a waving or crimping. Through this alignment, which is arranged oblique to the tire circumference, the stabilizing effect of the waving is seen in both the longitudinal as well as the oblique directions. Thus, in comparison with the usual belted tires, less material is needed in tire production, and these tires are both light, but nevertheless possess good driving characteristics and superb rolling resistance.

  • Patent number: 4949991
Abstract: A foldable rollover protection system, or ROPS, is equipped with a lever to assist in raising and lowering the ROPS, without the necessity of the operator leaving the vehicle seat. The lever is slidably mounted in a guide on the upper, folding, part of the ROPS to allow it to slide out of the way when not in use. Appropriate holes are provided in the pivot bracket into which a pin can be inserted to lock the ROPS in its raised or lowered positions. A spring clip is provided which can hold the pin in place in either set of holes.

  • Patent number: 4483555
Abstract: A pipe coupling is disclosed which is capable of being periodically coupled and uncoupled between two lengths of pipe. The pipe coupling includes a first and a second union which are fixed between an intervening length of pipe such that the intervening length of pipe does not have to be of a precision length. The outer periphery of one end of the pipe contains serrations and this end is fixed to the first union by a serrated compression ring and a backnut. By tightening the backnut onto the first union, the compression ring firmly engages the serrations on the pipe and prevents axial movement thereof. The second union includes a non-binding compression ring and a backnut as well as having an internal elongated bore of approximately the same diameter as the outer diameter of the pipe. As the backnut is tightened onto the second union, the compression ring is squeezed about the outer periphery of the pipe and forms a seal therewith.
