  • Patent number: 6045116
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuated valve, includes an axially movable valve needle that includes at least one armature and one spherical valve-closure member. The armature forms a closing-member support, which receives the valve-closure member in a downstream end area. In this context, the end area encompasses the valve-closure member such that at least one channel, in direct connection with a longitudinal bore of the armature, is formed on the surface of the valve-closure member. The valve is well suited for use in fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines having externally supplied ignition.

  • Patent number: 5985337
Abstract: The invention makes available a process for preparing a protein hydrolysate from protein containing animal products, in which process the animal products are hydrolysed using endopeptidases and exopeptidases. The process is characterized in that smoked, protein containing animal products are employed as protein containing animal products. By using smoked, protein containing animal products, a protein hydrolysate can be produced which does not have the bitter flavor which arises during the customary hydrolysis of protein containing animal products. Smoked pork rind is preferably employed for the hydrolysis.

  • Patent number: 5628081
Abstract: The invention relates to a brush head for large manipulators with a brush roller fitted on a motor-driven brush shaft (56) having flexible, centrifugally born bristles (66) and divided into at least two axially separated roller sections (58) and with at least one torque sensor arranged between the brush shaft (56) and the individual roller sections (58).

  • Patent number: 5592710
Abstract: The invention relates to a brush head for large machines for cleaning large objects like aircraft. The brush head (18) has a brush roller (58) motor-driven in a predetermined direction of rotation (130), bearing a crown (66) of flexible, centrifugally born bristles (104) and acting with the bristles (104) against a surface to be cleaned. In order to prevent damage to the surface to be cleaned during inevitable breakdowns, the invention proposes at least one contact sensor (88), preferably rotating with the brush roller (58) and recessed inside the crown of bristles (66) to trigger an emergency stop acting on the drive system of the brush head (18).

  • Patent number: 5217102
Abstract: A storage system for sequent and positioned input, storage and removal of ems arranged on a carrier, includes a first container for full carriers and a second container for empty carriers. The carrier is a conveyor belt, the ends of which are attached to shafts, and which can be wound up upon these shafts together with the items on the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt is composed of individual rigid segments, which are flexibly joined to each other by a joining device, and each of which is a storage device for at least one item. A forward transport unit moves the conveyor belt in such a manner that a new item can be stored or removed from one loading and unloading station and the conveyor belt is unwound from one shaft and rewound on the other shaft. The shafts are arranged in a container in a type of cassette. The system has the advantage that it requires only one loading and unloading station and that the process can be readily automated.

  • Patent number: 5151241
Abstract: A method and device for shaping tubular workpieces from thermoplastic placs is disclosed. In the method, the workpiece to be shaped is inserted into a mold, heat is applied from the interior of the workpiece to heat the workpiece to the softening temperature of the plastic, this temperature is maintained until the workpiece assumes the shape of the mold, and the workpiece is left in the mold until it has cooled off. A flexible heating core is used to apply heat to the interior of the workpiece. The heating core has an insulating jacket with a sliding layer on its outer wall and a heating conductor winding located within the insulating jacket. A stress relief extends lengthwise in the middle of the heating core and outward of the heating core at one end. A receptacle is provided at the other end of the heating core for the stress relief.

  • Patent number: 5005689
Abstract: Described is a storage system for sequent and positioned input, storage and emoval of items arranged on a carrier. The storage system is provided with a first container for full carriers and a second container for empty carriers. The carrier is a conveyor belt, the ends of which are attached to shafts arranged one in the first container and one in the second container, respectively, and which can be rolled up on these shafts together with the items on the conveyor belt. A forward transport unit moves the conveyor belt in such a manner that a new item can be stored or removed from one loading and unloading station and the conveyor belt is unwound from one shaft and rewound on the other shaft. The system has the advantage that it requires only one loading and unloading station and that the process can be readily automated.

  • Patent number: 4568551
Abstract: A process for the preparation of dehydrated base products for thickened soups and sauces which disperse readily in hot water and form thick, creamy, lump-free products. The product is prepared by combining a starchy material with an edible fat into a homogeneous mixture. Water is added to the mixture which may also contain milk proteins. The mixture is then subjected to heat treatment, cooled and grated. Optionally the homogeneous mixture is heated under elevated pressure.
