  • Patent number: 9365149
Abstract: A truck having a truck body with lift track and a battery electrically connected to the body and a platform for moving along the lift track. A box holding a hydraulic unit with solenoid valves for moving the platform is attached to the truck body. A movable wireless switch having an internal power source is on the platform. When a user operates a switch the movable wireless switch emits a movement signal from a movable antenna electrically connected to the truck body. A fixed wireless switch is on the truck body. When a user operates a switch the fixed wireless switch emits a movement signal from an antenna electrically connected to the body. A wireless receiver receives the movement signal and then applies control signals to the hydraulic unit. The wireless receiver also receives a sensor signal and emits an alert if the hydraulic unit has a problem.

  • Publication number: 20150040870
Abstract: A method for variably adjusting a compression ratio of combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine employs a device of a piston associated with the combustion chamber. The device is coupled via respective coupling areas to a piston pin for connecting the piston to a connecting rod of the internal combustion engine. To adjust the compression ratio the piston pin, which is associated with the device, is rotated relative to the piston. • Patent number: 5711614
Abstract: The crankshaft bearing of a multicylinder internal combustion engine has an upper and a lower bearing part, as well as upper and lower bearing brackets with bearing bores connected therewith, in which brackets the main bearing pins of a crankshaft are mounted. The main bearing pins of the crankshaft are supplied with lubricant through oil grooves in the bearing bores. In order to guide the oil escaping from the bearing locations, which oil is flung-off by the rotating crankshaft cheeks, oil grooves are provided on the lateral surfaces of the bearing brackets. The groves are open on their radial interiors and drain downward in the installed position. This prevents severe foaming of the oil, since the oil flung-off the crankshaft can be captured directly and guided. The residence time of the oil in the crank chamber is reduced so that the oil flows more rapidly back into the oil pan and churning losses are reduced.

  • Patent number: 4918509
Abstract: The invention relates to a gate turn-off thyristor which includes, per unit cell, a cathode-side emitter strip and two anode-side spaced emitter strips which overlap in position with the edge of the cathode-side emitter strip. In such a GTO thyristor, the maximum disconnectable anode current greatly decreases during turn-off with increasing voltage rise rate, since the electrical fields developing in the non-regenerative transistor region centered underneath the cathode-side emitter strip are too high. Reduction of the field intensity occurring in the non-regenerative transistor region and thus reduction in the decrease of the maximum disconnectable anode current is realized, according to the invention, in that a p-type zone is disposed between the two anode-side emitter strips to dynamically limit the electrical field, with this p-type zone injecting holes to a lesser degree than the adjacent emitter strips and essentially only during turn-off of high currents.
