  • Patent number: 4880216
Abstract: The invention relates to a two-chamber bearing, in particular for motor vehicles, which has hydraulic damping, the liquid-filled chambers of which have rubber elastic peripheral walls and are connected to each other by a line which is provided in a rigid intermediate plate. According to the present invention, a so-called active bearing is provided which can be rapidly adapted to the operational conditions in each case by filling the chambers with an electroviscous liquid, the viscosity of which may be controlled by applying an electrical field in the area of the line which passes through the intermediate plate.

  • Patent number: 4618128
Abstract: The invention relates to a two-chamber engine bearing, in particular for motor vehicles, which has hydraulic damping, the liquid-filled chambers of which have rubber elastic peripheral walls and are connected to each other by a line which is provided in the rigid, elastically-mounted intermediate plate. To improve the damping, the intermediate plate has, according to the invention, an extended cavity which has an approximately rectangular longitudinal cross-section in the area of the middle plane thereof, the length and width of the cavity being many times its height and the cavity being connected to the upper chamber at one end by a vertical passage and connected to the lower chamber at the other end by a corresponding passage.

  • Patent number: 3960758
Abstract: A non-discoloring stabilizer system for trans-polypentenamer of:A. a sulphur-containing phenol of the formula: ##SPC1##In which R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 are alkyl groups with 1 to 8 carbon atoms, aralkyl radicals with 7 to 9 carbon atoms and cycloalkyl radicals with 5 to 7 carbon atoms, R.sub.3 represents hydrogen, alkyl groups with 1 to 8 carbon atoms, cyclohexyl, cyclohexenyl or methylcyclohexenyl, R.sub.4 represents alkyl groups with 1 to 12 carbon atoms or ##SPC2##Where R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are as defined above, andB. a phenol ester of phosphorous acid of the formula: ##SPC3##In which R.sub.5 represents an alkyl or cycloalkyl group with 5 to 10 carbon atoms, R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 are the same or different and represent hydrogen, alkyl and cycloalkyl radicals each with 1 to 7 carbon atoms.

  • Patent number: 3944533
Abstract: A process for the ring-opening polymerisation of cyclic olefins on catalysts ofA. a halide of a metal of Groups VB and VIB of the Periodic System,B. an organometallic compound of a metal of Groups IIA, IIIA and IVa of the Periodic System, andC. optionally a cocatalyst,Optionally in an inert organic solvent at temperatures of from -70 to +60.degree.C, wherein from 0.1 to 10% by weight, based on monomer, of a compound containing a C=C-double bond in conjugation with a CO-double bond is added during or after polymerisation in the presence of the active catalyst.
